Hammer,

I'll see about geting a H-4 out to Japan for you soon.

I will need a address?

I think 60+MPH is going to be NO PROBLEM for that

light little .12 HAMMERHEAD.

Thanks,

Mark :)

Mark, Hopefully and I don't see why not, I will be bringing a kit or 2 to the Internats to donate. If that happens, I will also have some for sale at the race. After all, it wouldn't look too good for one of the guys in charge of getting donations for the Internats not to contribute something.

One little addition to one of my previous posts. When I talked to Gary the other day, he told me that he built a .12 'rigger kit that he wanted Dumas to kit. They said that they didn't think that there was enough interest in that size and wasn't interested! Their loss! ;D ;D ;D

Ron.

I was thinking we could put on a little show on

Saturday afternoon after the racing was done.

Show some of the racers that this can be the next

fun class of the future.A-Hydro.

Thanks,

Mark :)

next fun class?

hhmmmm.....maybe next FASTEST class!! ;D

you guys should do a demo race against a .21 mono and show how it stacks up, maybe a price comparison too...one of the best things about .12s is that they're very inexpensive compared to other boats going similar speeds.

Looks like we have the contents figured out.

The kit will include:

1) All lazer-cut wood and carbon pieces. Logos etched on the side walls.

2) All carbon sponson boom set.

3) Power surge tank.

4) Turn fin plus bolts and spar anchors.

5) 24" piece of half dowel.

6) 24" piece of 3/16 triangle stock.

7) 25" long Blue Foam block for sponsons (pre cut)

8 ) 3/8" thick 4" X 4" Blue Foam sheet for bulkheads.

9) Instruction booklet

10) Catalogue for specially selected hardware

( This will be handy if you choose to use

test proven hardware)

11) 2 pieces of 1/8" 2"X 25" balsa planks

12) Colored mylar sticker set ( gold leaf will cost you a little extra

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated

sounds good, and one of grim's tanks is a nice touch.

any ball-park figure for the price?

[crossing my fingers : :) ;D ]

Joe

Gonna have to ask that Question to Ron, Lax.

It will all be done through his sister's shop. Don't worry!

It will be very affordable.

Your right about the GRIM touch! If you look anywhere on the net, or even around INTLWATERS his tanks are the diamond of the bunch. I can't wait to get my hands on one. I'm using a handmade job right now. It works just fine, but I wouldn't want to put my reputation on the line with a crappy looking solder job. This think will be so easy to make. You will have a breeze with this baby!

Hammer

sounds good....i think i might just have to save up and get one, it would be fun to experiment with the same engine/hardware from my WIP FF .12 and the Hammerhead .12, maybe even combine the boats [wonder what a FF body with Hammerhead sponsons would be like :) ]

Joe

Do you have a release date yet ? I am ready to get started!!!

This is kinda like hanging a pork chop on the closeline, all the short legged dog can do is sniff it and wish that he had a way to get at it. (he he)

But seriously, let us know when you are ready to accept orders.

We'll let everyone know as soon as we can. I never realized what it took to put something like this together. My basement isn't set up very well for manufacturing so some of the stuff is being farmed out. simple things, like getting the turn fins bent to shape, ordering everything for the initial run and finding the best sources (and prices) is more mind-boggling than I thought but Boy, we're having fun!

Release date, looking at mid-April if not sooner but don't hold me to it.

As far as where the CAD design is, it is done except for one minor detail. I plan on starting to lay out the laser cut contours for Ron's sister tomorrow. That shouldn't take me too long. After she gets the files she need from me, we can start cutting wood. we are going to cut 1 boat out first & put it together with superglue just to test the fit. That way I can make any minor changes that need to be made before the official production run.

They will be Distributed by 2 places only to keep the cost down, through Wade and I and Hammerhead in Japan. Marty already wants at least 20 of them, and the first 2 or so will be mine and Wade's for testing over here. We'll figure out a way to them them "Down Under".

Ron,

i guess that means i'll be ordering through you.....do you have a rough estimate for price yet? [Hammer got me curious by saying "affordable" and he DID say to ask you..... : :) ] Wade, great that you're just about ready to start producing, im sure you guys wont have any trouble at all selling them, at least to anyone who knows one of us intlwaters nuts.

Hammer,

gotta be feeling kinda apprehensive 'bout having the design for your boat put into the greedy hands of us fellow boaters, but then again it must be pretty cool too!

Joe

Dale said he will carry them, but I'm sure you will have to place an order with him before he gets the merchandise at Kingcraft. Don't worry!!! If you want one, It doesn't matter where in the world you are. We will get you one.

Hammer

Ian,

Now you have me on the spot.... I was considering any old run of the mill car 12 as a sport boat... but if all you guys are going to put blood & guts engines in I may have to rethink that idea..

I could just get an A45 and dremel off the numbers and write 12 on it???

And are you going to throw a MAC 21 at one for SAW???

EMS Racing you just CANT have more Methanol than Nitro!!!
