Hello all, Soto here new member here based out of Austin TX.
Trying to get back into action after a 25 plus yrs hiatus.
My boats (will get pics too) are both vintage in a way.
A nice deep vee hull - Cigarette which was built actually in Greece when i was a kid with a K&B 0.40 inboard and solid subsurface drive.
Not sure who the hull manufacturer was but definitely has the classic cigarette lines.
I am trying to get it up to RTR status but needs love and care. Spoke with K&B already and getting some new parts for engine overhaul.
Rotates ok but needs new bearings and will place a remote needle too as the standard angled-rod box carb was too confined for any meaningful quick changes the way the boat was built (not by me).
Rebuilding the engine and maybe the -unfortunately straight - shaft are priorities there.
Second boat is also a vintage Kyosho Hurricane Cat with two Lemans ST-360s. Dunno if anything works on the boat but needs some little work to get it back.
Hull has a tiny crack i need to take care off first.
Will seek the collective's wisdom in putting this boat up and running. Lots of memories!!
