Heya Ron! How's it going?

Can't say how much I appreciate yours and your sisters help.

We are getting there, for sure. Isn't Wade a genius! Unbelievable.

That is all I have word for now.

RON!! Great to have you back!!

Hammer.....

LOL! Genius status! LOL!! I wouldn't say that LOL ;D Your plans have been very easy to follow. But thanks for the vote of confidence.

I had a little down time today, so I worked on the design. this is as far as I got. what does everyone think?

That is just too cool, I wish I could make boats like that and see how they look. Nice drawing.

Hey Thanks Mike. Hammer did all the hard work. I might be getting my self in trouble by saying this, but I really like to design & draw things in CAD. If you ever need something drawn up, just ask. If I have time to do it, it shouldn't be any problem.

The directions are almost finished. Phew! I bet you guys wished that you could see some of the work that Wade has been doing. Well I have. It is fantastic. This boat will be a piece of cake to build.

The directions will be really nice, too.

Took my older boy out to the pond today. I let him run my Hammerhead.12 3 tanks. He loved it. He said, this is so easy to

control.

Hammer!

OK I give up, I am not into racing and have never wanted a rigger, but your Hammerhead .12 project has bitten me, now I want one. Can I use my Traxxas Pro .15 marine or do I need to get a real nitro motor and if so what do you suggest, water cooled or air cooled? What prop will I need? I am sure that your plans and building instructions will answer most of my questions. What speed range does the Hammer .12 run in? Anything over 30 MPH will make my knees shake.

We be some mini 'rigger buildin' FOOLS on here! ;D ;D

Cheap, fast, fun.......THE CRAZE HAS BEGUN!!!

I'm trying to get things rolling fast on this project. I'll go out to my sisters new place tomorrow to work things out with her. We got our contract ratified today so I'll be going back to work in the next 2 weeks after being locked-out for 6 months. Kit prices plus seeing if people want hardware kits and/or engines with them plus Grimmy's tanks are some of the things to look at.

Marty, ICQ me, got this 'puter fixed.

Hey Al! Your traxxas .15 will be fine!

I'm running mine in the mid 50s with an Octura V937. It Also does just as well with a prather 215. These are the only two props that I have tested it with. I prefer the 215. I'm sure if your Traxxas is running good, you will be able to find similar results with it. If you are wanting to putt putt around till you get used to it, I would recommend the 215. It cuts the water good at all speeds. When I let my 12 year old run the boat, I put the 215 on it. It doesn't miss behave at all.

After a few runs to get the feel for it, you will be running laps at over 50 while relaxing in your lawn chair. If your Traxxas is water cooled, It will work, but with this little buger, you will do just fine with the air cooling. You wont have to incorperate a water pick up system that will create drag. That is the best benifit. You also will be able to dink with it longer on the shore with out worrying about it over heating. Next most of these little engines come with the heat sink, so you wont have to spend the extra buck on a water jacket.

Oh! One more think Al!

The instructions are very discriptive. The only thing you may need help with is mounting the engine. There are many conflicts in this area because of the availability of motor mounts that will fit the hull beings that it was designed in millimeters. There are many options available, and any of us mini rigger building fools at intlwaters will be able to help you, so there are no worries.

Hammer,

I can't stand it!!! I've got to have one too!!! This is worse than catching the flu, the bug has me. I can't let Shannon sc be the only guy in South Carolina to have one.

Hey all you S.C. guys, you need to catch up, Ive got a .12 on the bench right now about 3/4 the way through it. Got a hot picco to put in it as well (didnt like runnin that car anyway, and i needed a donor engine...) Between tom and hammer gettin the bug started with the mini me riggers I had to have one too.

Al, glad to see you've been bitten by the nitro bug, you should come down and race with us now! bring that new gas boat you just got too, I just ordered my new crackerbox and cant wait to beat and bang weedeater style!!

I spent a few hours today out at my sisters new store going over some details. we're looking for a logo in her files so we might be able to come up with one in her programs. We can burn a logo into the wood or offer a laser cut decal set with the kit.

Wade, the .dxf looks like it will work. Need some suggestions from everyone else interested in a kit in the future. Would you like to see a hardware kit available with it for your convenience? If so, which brand?

How about a hardware kit as an optional upgrade? Maybe even a choice of econo kit for the novice sport boater and a pro kit for the racer. Most of the hardware that I am seeing for this size boat appears to be for the fast electrics. Can you give us some manufacturers names to check out? Are there drawings available for the do it yourselfer? What is Hammer using?

Personally, I would like to use something tried and proven for this hull design and engine RPM so as not to be dissapointed or frustrated in the learning phase.
