Boat count is at 144 and it is not December yet. Probably be a flurry of entries as the count approaches 250. Don't wait!

Good numbers in all classes so far including gas. Glad to see Mod-VP with 3 brands of boats and looks like the field is split between OS and K&B power. Gonna be a large time!

Just sent mine out this morining. Sounds like it should be a great weekend of racing. Since I will be laid up from having my gallbladder removed a couple of days ago guess I will work on my boats.

We are now at 153 entries, less than 100 to go to hit the high water mark of 250 for the race. Do not delay in getting them in or you will be left out. Time is very short!

Three of the racers are coming from South Africa. Other countries with racers coming are Netherlands, Canada, Bermuda, Sweden, Germany and the US. A true World Championships.

i'm truly surprised you haven't received any entries from the aussies. thought for sure some of them would make the trip.....

Wow looking at the list of entries this is model tunnel boats equivlent to INDY & DAYTONA rolled into one event. Still some heavy hitters not on the list,

Good to see the mafia up to the plate in MVP. Looks like we will see a resurection of Poole and the Untouchables.

Yep, called the World Championships for a very good reason. Entries for Grim, Russ Williamson, Carl Van Houten, Mike Talley, Mike Rushing, Ron Drake, Wade Daughtery among others are coming in too. Almost everyone of "Who's Who" are planning to attend.

We have 3 from South Africa, 1 from Sweden, 1 from Netherlands, 1 from Germany, 2 from Bermuda and 1 from Canada for the international contingent of racers coming. Several other countries are looking at coming too.

Mic,

What is really cools is we have Mod-VP moving along. If you keep up with any of the lifesize racing forums they are still trying to figure out how to bring the class back up.

Where is all of the smack talk?

Whos who of tunnels are about to go toe to toe on the pond, and no one has any lip?

Where are Drake and Premo?

Also, between the Bermuda Rum and the Atwell's shine, this ought to be prime ingredients for the World Championships of BS after the racing action is over.....

Tonya, you ought to know you cant drink shine without a full stomach. You gotta bring the boil back, so we can see your alter personality after the shine, I think his name was RALPH wasnt it? hell, that wasnt even shine, that was just Southern Comfort (from those guys from up north oddly enough??)

Maybe you can get Zaborniak to bring his friends back down so you can steal their liqour!

I personally would rather have more of the low country boil. Just bring empty Mason jars because I'm sure there's "alkyhol" available in the Charleston area to pour in those Mason jars.

The CMB club has arranged to have the low country boil again for the upcoming race. So have no fear or concerns about that. Whatever other liquid refreshments that come along with it I cannot speak of, or for, as it is not sponsored or provided by the CMB club. WHEW!! However, fun is had for all and I know that. Before, during and after racing!

Lets see.. Richie, Russ and me.. O yea Dunny too but he dont count... going to bed at 7pm is a crime...
BRING THE BOIL

Grim
Yeah, now that I'm on Medicare and collecting Social Security it's a challenge "hanging" with the youngsters. Worst part about going to bed at 7 pm is when you guys come back in after midnight and wake the old man up. :p Back at Evansville in 06, RW comes back to the room, immediately falls asleep, and snores at at a db level that would have got him "dqed" at the race site.

Mark,

Be careful what you wish for. I had a call from a tunnel builder today who wants a copy of the MVP rules which I will get a copy to him. I don't want to talk out of school but the hull might be a tunnel with a pod. (STV style)If he registers in Mod VP youll know he's serious so I wont steal his thunder and publish his name. He is a former APBA Mod VP driver.

My new deck mold and fairing mold got tooling gel today and will be layed up before the weekend.

One thing about this class is the speed range should be from 35-45 mph so racing is very tight. Not a 20 mph range like the 21 tunnels. Also MOD VP's don't roll over as easy and if they spin the center pod keeps the prop alive. So anyone with an old 21 V-hull and a stocker 21 engine just add some sponsons. I ran my plug in the Charleston fall race and did ok. I am sure Mark or I will give you input if you want to try one. There will be more than one heat.
