As you can see, my name is Brian Blazer. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and I am 27 years old. I have been married to the best woman in the world for 2-1/2 years now. No kids so I am full time boats!!!

I have an associates degree in Mechanical Engineering and work as a Product Design Specialist for Rotex Inc (Industrial sifters).

I have been involved with hydroplanes all of my life, and RC's for the past 13 years. My Grandpa had real hydroplanes (world record holder) and my dad had one too. I figured I will go the cheap route and do the RC's. My Dad is my pitman at every race which has been a blast.

We started out with the Dumas Hotshot Sprint, then built a sport40 from David Frank's plans. From there we have built over 6 different sport40 designs, each one got better and better.

My biggest achievement happened a couple of months ago, setting the SAW record with a Gas Sport Hydro (design came from the sport40's).

CD for the 2004 Gas nats, President of Cincinnati Model Boat Club, District 2 Sport40 director.

Other hobbies: Sports Fanatic (go Bengals!!!) and like to play Paintball.

I’m Kevin Bulifant 35 years old and I live in Va Beach with my 3 yr old daughter and wife. Im a B.S. Civil Engineer and a M.S. Structural Engineer that doesn’t practice. I used to practice when I worked for a Very Large construction co called Skanska up until a few years ago when I decided to take a government job and raise a family. I currently work for the City of Virginia Beach Public Schools where I participate in the capitol improvement program (I build new schools and renovate old schools).
I raced motorcycles in my 20’s but I got smart enough to start playing on the motor end as I got older. I enjoy racing in many of it’s forms as I race sailboats and I do a good bit of competitive windsurfing here on the east coast whenever I can.

Oh yea...I play boats too :D
Hey Kevin did you know there is a club in Chesapeake that has 11 races and two record trials each year? Old Dominion Model Boat Association. Would like to see another member addition. Looks like you have tunnels, but we don't. :(

My name is Steve Wells I live in Southern California,15 to 20 years ago I ran a SK-Daddle Flatbottom (with a wing like the dragboats) and enjoyed the challenge of setting it up and trying to get it to run right almost as much as running it.I am giving it another go.I ordered a new SK-Daddle from Dumas, got a new OS 81 and after much research shaped the hull just like the big flatbottoms.I will usually take My boat out mid-week to avoid the problems associated with those 1" to 2" rollers caused by the other boats.Ok So I like to run it on the edge, barely wet.

I am a tilesetter by trade, have never taken my car to a mechanic, was an avid Dale Earnheart fan(I still watch Most of the races,But don't really care who wins)I race NASCAR Heat online (as PublicNME01)See Ya at Legg Lake!! :D

Hello all, My name you know. I am 45 and live in beautiful Northern California in the Sierra foothills within a 2 hour drive to Lake Tahoe or 2 hours to the Pacific Ocean. Been married 19 years and have two sons, Kyle and Jeffery.

After high school started working as a machinest apprentice that lasted for @ 2 years.

Moved on to straight mechanical work as a small engine service tech in the commercial logging industry, 20+ years latter I sold my shop and took a job with a well known firm as the Service Manager and Tech advisor for the entire west coast of North America, Hawaii and Alaska. Now I work with my wife in the family furniture buisness. Talk about non related field, Wow thats life !

My first boat was a Dumas SK 60 in @ 1972 that I got as a teenager from my brother in law. Met some guys fooling around one day at a local lake @ 15 years ago and said Hey I have a boat too. Got it running again after 15+ years on a shelf and have never looked back !

Current stable is 10+ boats, monos. hydros both nitro and gas.

Racing boats has been a real good platform for my engine tech back ground and helped me to set many fast times year to year, A few national records as well.

Been the NAMBA Dist 9 gas chairman for past 2 years and been asked to do 2 more.

Current club commidore of the Folsom RC Modeleers.

I have taken the mystery of HOW TO modify your Zenoah out of the shadows and made it public knowledge by posting in depth info on JRCBD for all to learn from.

RACE ON DUDES !!! Scott ~~~ Love the hobby, Hate the politics !

Seriously, my name is Kris Flynn, i am 18 (19 at the end of Feb) live in Australia, near Melbourne (which apparently is the most livable city in the world)

Been into RC for a long time...probably got my first RC car (dodgy ones from toy shops) when i was at most 8.

Finished high school in 2002, and had a holiday then went straight into a Fitting and Turning Apprenticeship...spent the last 10 months training (tech school) at Robert Bosch (the power tools people ;) )to prepare me for the industry.

I am really into tunnels! second favourite would be sport hydros (not riggers)

My first post here at Intl' waters. The name to the left is correct and didn't I cop it at school. I'll be 41 in January, never married yet but hope to soon. I have been with my much younger partner Juli for 2 years now are things are just going great. I have 3 boys from previous relationships 9, 14 and 22. Back in the late 70's I started with 1/8 scale cars and multi boats. through the 80's I played more with 12th scale electric cars and racing 80 cc motorcross bikes with the likes of Michael Doohan.... ****, if I'd only followed in his footsteps.

In 1992 I went to a lake on the northside of Brisbane with a fella named Rod Smith with whom we worked out that resistor type plugs were needed to overcome interference with the radio gear in my wardcraft hull with a Tanaka weed eater engine in it. It wasn't fast and it wasn't pretty but it was original. No-one had seen a model boat with a gas engine in it, no rudder and with steerable a surface drive unit I had made, it ran all day. Rod was to become my mentor and best friend for many years to follow.

I have had a self impossed break from model boating in general for the past 2 years or so but look forward to returning in 2004, the year I've dubbed "the year of the gas rigger" look out Mr Grinter and MR Brown ...lol) and also building a twin G260 engine offshore cat. I have a small website for some of the parts I manufacture as well as some imported gear at Sonic Racing

I run a successful automotive servicing and repair business on the northside of Brisbane and have done since 1992. I also teach rock and roll dancing one night a week to students in rockabilly, 4, 6 and 8 step and that keeps me active. I also love camping at the beach and hope to spend more time doing that too.

Well, I prefer short stories myself so I'll leave it at that for now.

Cheers, Danny.

....ummm, hi. My name is Bob. Just Bob.

I've been running radio controlled boats on my secluded mountain lake for several years. There's not much else to do here. You see, I've been in the witness protection program since 1983. I would like to tell you more about myself, but the FBI doesn't think it's a good idea.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

The FBI should have also told you that it is not a good idea to get online and make "anonymous" posts. Staying cloaked is only a matter of who you come across on here. Not being smart. Just thought you would like to know that. We envy you having the secluded mountain lake though.

Jack Garcia here, and I think I'm the old f--t of the forum I guess. 77 this month.

I have enjoyed outboard boating since K&B introduced the outboards. Matter of fact I did most of the R&D work on all of the outboard engines. Love OBs but did quite a bit of inboard racing as well. I worked at K&B for aprox. 8 years. Started as supervisor of the Marine Specialties dept. and was transfered to engineering because of my drafting background, when MS folded and was sold.

I'm also married to a wonderful woman who also enjoyed racing model boats.

We live in New Mexico USA, but will be moving to Orlando Florida next year to be near our older daughter. Our younger daughter has had us long enough the older one sez. Have enjoyed posting on this forum and have also enjoyed knowing so many other OB lovers thanks to Tom and Grim.

God bless you all.

Yeah the old f--t is as "Sly as a Fox" Ha,Ha,

Jack is a walkin encycloepia of anything K&B, I have bounced ideas off him many times and always got a quick and very friendly return, Jack shares his knowledge very openly and we all better off for it ;)

You stay in touch Buddy!!!

Gene :D

Alan Atkins, Al, aka DS or DaddySundown. Born and raised in Tulsa, OK., 49 years old married 16 years to Michelle. Son 14, stepson 26. I like country and classic rock. Been into boats since I was just out of diapers. Dad had a boat shop from 1960 to 1969 and he raced mercury powered Power Cats, guess that’s where I got the racing bug. Dad died of a heart attack when I was 13. Business went bankrupt and I began working for a boat shop when I was 18.

I began my own boat business in 1985 in a small lake town of Wagoner with service only. Began drag racing mod V tunnel with a Mercury outboard in 1986, moved the business to Tulsa and changed the name from Wagoner Marine to Sundown Marine late 1986 and married in 1987. Continued drag racing mod v tunnels. 1999 captured point champion in Top Eliminator, 9-second class 125 mph 1/4 mile. That's about all I could get out of that Merc. Raced one more year and sold the boat. Race Boat

My son was 12 and wanted a nitro boat. Got to looking around and found a Top Speed and decided to get 2 so we could race each other. Found out about a race a couple hours away. After that we were hooked. The following year in 2002 raced the season with APBA. Got a 3rd in points with the Top Speed w/OS and a pipe and 1st in the APBA Nationals. 2003 racing 5 boats and at the end of the season points I had three 1st’s and two 2nd’s Total Hi points and Driver’s Excellence. My 13 yr old had three 2nd’s and one 3rd. I am now totally engulfed in this great hobby. Plan to race Jackson, TN to see how I stack up with the best of the best.

A small section in my store is a hobby shop and I am currently a dealer for Areomarine products, Tidewater and K&B.

Rc Store

My business web site is Sundown Marine

Very kind words Gene. And you are definetly right. I'm not adverse to sharing my experienced and knowledge. ;)

Hi Guys!

O.K., My turn to bore you........I did U- control planes in jr. high and high school. My "partner" in modeling went on to Big Brain school. He works for Boeing now, guess I shoulda followed..... anyhow....... I worked in a local hobby shop after high school in the mid 70's . I built some of the first real r/c helicopters from Germany as a job.........But I was more interested in K&B's outboards when they came out in the 70's. Bought a dumas boat kit, A K&B 3.5, and a Kraft 2 ch radio and had fun with all that ..............a year later,it all started. Wife, job, rent, son, car payments, medical expences, braces, mortgage,.......and more prevented me from doing much about boating.

Now,25 years later, I marrier off the youngest daughter and I've been having fun re-aquainting myself with the little boat world. I've made a lot of good friends( y'all are a nice bunch of people!) and learned a lot. The best thing I learned is that there is a lot more to learn.............. I feel privelaged to be aquainted with all of you. It's nice to know that you can come here and ask a "stupid"question, and get an answer that helps instead of making you feel like an idiot.

In the real world, I do home maintanance and improvement work. Repiaring, remodeling, kitchens, bathrooms, finishing basements.......anythng but painting (I hate painting.......) I've been trying to get my 8 year old grandson interested in boating. He likes play station better. I built my wife a nice 40" deep vee with a 7.5 pro.........But she's not a big fan of the water.....

Latest project: A 46" (!) WOF Tunnel hull. An awsome craft built by our own OB Nut............I have a new 13cc K&B outboard to put on it...........Got both Irwin and Aerotech pipes to try..........Looking for advise on a prop. an octura 1655 was suggested. Any ideas??

I hope all is well wit the rest of you........Happy Holidays!!!

Bob the Fool
