It is no sin to get old but it's dam unhandy.

Okay, I'm only doing this cause Geneo(slideblues) did.

Ed Radziwonowicz (Ed Radz), originally from the Chicago area, recently transferred to the Denver area. 58 years old, married to Janis, 2 kids.

I work for Lucent Technologies (34 years) as a Network Field Maintenance Technician. My other hobbies are model railroading, being a Bears fan, and racing in general. I love NASCAR and drag racing. In the late 60's I raced a 55 Chevy with a Corvette 327 in it. I gave that up when I bought my first new car.

I had my first RC boat in 1963. There was no racing at that time, it seems like everyone was on the same channel! I built a Chris Craft Cobra (scratch) that had K&B 45 in it. I gave that up when I got drafted in 1965.

I always wanted to get back into boats. 3 years ago. I picked up a 45 size Seaducer and have been racing the last 2 years. Rick Alexander and the ILLINI club guys did a lot to re-teach me about boats and racing. I'm looking forward to making new boating friends in the Denver area and having some fun this summer.

Later!

David Wickboldt 35 married 5yrs just had our first child, she turned 6 months today. I live in Nawlins or New Orleans Louisiana.

I'm cnc machinist for 7 years now, before that did a little of everything and a lot of nothing. Really I have done the fast food thing, janitorial, picture framing, worked in a hobby shop, and at Renegade models making boat plugs and building boats, roofing, construction, stage hand, dairy maintenance, bartending....... that covers most of it.

I have had more hobbies than jobs so I will just list the current ones...

building, tweaking, and overclocking computers

RC cars, boats gas and nitro

collecting comics

online fps gaming

I have had the RC illness for 25 years and counting. I drooled over RC models magazine for years before I saved enough money to buy my first RC car at 12. I traded a car for a boat when I was 15, and have run cars, trucks or boats ever since.

Music wise I like hard rock, and old rock not lite rock, but I do listen to a lot of other stuff.

Seems to be a lot of things in common within these "profiles"!

My name is Tim Duggan.

I'm a 30 year old from Sydney, Australia. Been with Melanie (the minister for war and finance) for 10 years and we have 1 daughter, Amanda, who just turned 4 years old

I work for Toshiba in the office equipment industry - fax machines, analogue and digital connected photocopiers. Have done so for 12 years and love it most of the time. I served as a field technician for most of that period - have also done a stint as a workshop manager in the same industry, and for the last 3 1/2 years I have worked in a regional technical specialist role which involves providing support and training for 14 dealerships in my state plus support for all other dealerships in Australia and New Zealand. I deal directly with the parent company in Tokyo regularly also. Thats what pays for my hobbies! Also been involved with the hobby industry for more years than I can remember. Worked for importers and retailers.

I first started in racing r/c cars at about 10 years old. The first ever car race i participated in was 1/8 scale gas buggies beleive it or not! From there I got in to 1/10 electric buggies which I raced for a few years until I got the on-road bug. I raced 1/10 and 1/12 scale electric for a few years and made a few A mains at state and Nationals level. Never quite won a nationals but went awefully close.

In '93 I was offered a chance to race an outboard at the Australian nationals. I came second and was hooked - gave up racing cars and have been boat racing ever since. Have come second at more nationals than I care to talk about and won my first nationals class in 2000.

Last year I was secretary of the MBCofNSW - the largest r/c boat club in Australia. This year I'm just a committee member.

Another hard rock / heavy metal listener too!

Other hobbies include cars - Currently building a 77 ford escort 2ltr turbo for some street / dragstrip fun. before that I built a '53 model Holden FJ utility from the ground up. I like just about any form of motorsport but love rallying and circuit racing.

aight heres one thats a little different.....

Joe Lennarz, 15 (yea you read that right! :) ), living outside of richmond va......

hobbies are hunting, lacrosse, football [GO FALCONS], movies and i occasionally mess around with boats, usually only to prove the point that it IS possible to be worse at racing then you are. [k maybe more than occasionally]

listen to mostly rap, some rock, and of course some country......not married (duh) but goin' steady for a while now....hopefully next year ill have a 69 'stang fastback but probly it'll be bro's truck when he hits college.

as for boats, right now my shelf's empty, but there should be an offshore models supercat with a 260 sittin on it soon, waitin on eddie's delivery and the engine for xmas im hopin. my last boat should be winning trophies for Cleatus Cooper next year [.21 mono] if he's not as bad at driving as i am.

Hi, I'm Riaan Burger from Cape Town, South Africa.

Never have enough time!!!!!

Oh, almost forgot ...... I marshal at Killarney for the Western Province Motor Club over weekends ...... (no wonder I don't have time!!!!!)

Great response guys! Keep it coming.

Ok, you asked for it. Who is Propjockey?

Erin Metheny, 33. Born in Nuremberg, Germany (Army brat) on Jan 1, 1970. Spent the better part of my life in Texas. (lived in Ethiopia for a couple of years--Army brat, again)

Earned Associates in automotive and diesel technology after high school. Worked on cars, heavy trucks, and tug boats 'till I got burned out on the mechanic scene. Did some industrial painting for a while, then got an electrician's license and installed low voltage stuff--CCTV, fire alarms, door controls etc. In 1995, I hired on with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Officer. Been with it for almost 9 years now. Got a part time job at a pizza joint about 6 months ago that turned into a second full time job. Leaves darn little time for fun stuff.

Was married to Lisa (a blonde beach bunny) for 10 years, then we decided it wasn't for us. We're better friends now than when we were married...go figure.

Have a beautiful, brilliant, 12 yr old daughter Brittney...A+ honor roll, Gifted & Talented program, waaay too smart for her own good. A giant of a step-son, Dustin hit 6 ft and 200 lbs at the age of 13. He's 17 now.

I saw an Estes model rocket kit in a store one day and thought it would be cool. While looking for a good launch site, I stumbled on an R/C airfield. I watched a couple of guys burnin' holes in the sky one afternoon, and my R/C obsession began. When the State transferred me to central Texas four years ago, I lost my flying field and started looking for another "fix". Plenty of water around here, so I started playing with boats.

Current projects include an 18 ft, 454 powered jet boat, a 351W for my '80 Ford Fairmont, a Yamaha XT200, 2 tunnels, 3 monos, and cleaning my house (not sure if I'll ever finish THAT project!).

I'm addicted to caffine, nicotine, and well endowed blondes. :D

Music? Anything with an attitude...from Megadeth to Pink Floyd--Stevie Nicks to Kid Rock.

Hi all. It's great reading all of these posts. My name is Dennis Soles. I live in Painted Post, N.Y. 46 yrs old. Married and started with children very young. That stint lasted about ten yrs. Single for another 16 yrs. Worked as an auto mechanic for 12 yrs since high school, til my back let go. In the downtime for that I discovered R/C cars then boats. Raced a little in Elmira, N.Y. then kids were in the sports mode and I went back to college.

Since then I married my best friend Maggie and spend a lot of time riding motorcycle ('02 Goldwing) and vacationing in our RV. Only one child left at home and she's going to college this fall, so boats are back!!!

Since college I have been working as a Mechanical Engineering Technician for Corning Incorporated and having fun. My passion for music is that good ole fashion Rock & Roll, but will listen to almost anything.

Starting again with a .21 K&B SS on an unknown 27" fiberglass tunnel(looks like a winner though), and a soon a new HTB290 (Mark is working on) with a CMB greenhead I bought from Kevin (sent to Tim @ Precision for PTO mod) Lawless lower. Still have a great Aeromarine .67 cat with an OPS, very strong. Tunnels seem to be my new passion and will probably have a .45 next year!!! Can't wait to get out this year again and catch you guys at some races.

Hey Propjockey, I was born in Erlangen, Germany (near Nuremberg)!!!

I am a 26 years old, still live here in Erlangen, building model boats for almost 11 years now!

About two years ago I started to construct my own Outriggers, this year we bought some Cat molds - so I will build my first .90 Cat soon! B)

Besides model boating I enjoy riding my motorcycle (Yamaha YZF-R6)

I work for Siemens Automation an Drives, in the system verification and validation center of the Motion Control R&D department

Almost forgot...my real name is Robert Mueller

Hey Gener!

I see Heckle and Jeckle out here a lot. I didn't know the damn things were Magpies, I had to ask someone what they were. They sure are noisy! Hows business lately? They have us running around a lot the last 2 weeks. My partner had to go to Montana for 4 days to re-home some t1 circuits. Better to be out doing some real work than sitting in the office! Boats are on hold til spring when I can put together a work bench out in the garage. I miss having a big work shop. I had about 600 square feet of shop in the basement of the old place back in Illinois.

Later!

Hey Ed,

Ha,Ha, well I'm glad you are getting to know the wildlife there ;)

Work has been kinda slow we are gettin some snow and ice and it grinded down a bit, unless there is a surge and things go pop!!!, happins a lot if we ice up much. Still cant get these Gomers to invest in a little spike or surge protection, but what the heck thats what they got me for, Mister Fixit

Happy Holidays Man,

Gene :D
