Estes Mystic Emerald - There are other options to save some coin if your doing a larger project- for the boats , vinyl is your friend

They are WAY proud of that tiny little can of lacquer

Emerald..Very nice. Oh yeah, vinyl all the way. I just like researching other colors for Heli canopies or other projects. Yes, they are a bit pricey. I painted a canopy a few years ago, and between a few little cans of primer (and a lot of wet sanding), a few cans of color and a can of clearcoat...I could have sent it off and had a real painter do it cheaper!!!!

Good looking Rockets y'all have. Nice pics, too, Grim. I like stuff that flies, so I follow this thread pretty closely.

I hear ya- the satisfaction of your own stuff is what I like- my problem is SLOWING DOWN some times.

You CAN NOT rush, I have issues there

My Hawk is a perfect example of SLOW DOWN and enjoy the outcome, with a little help from Mark @ Sticker Shock

Chasing your tail- LMAO - the silver and green reflect each other TOO well and it looks like over spray from one color to the other-

Its just the reflection I found after three times trying to fix it and way to much wasted paint

Thanks Grim, one of these days I will finish the Bomarc- maybe

You have an impressive fleet as well my friend. Maybe we can get Windex to take a shot of his fleet-

Oh wait, by the time he got the last one cleaned to his standards and layed it out,

He would have to start over as the first one would have dust on it

HEY GRIM -

You know what I have- and I wanna try the Argent on a small H for my L1 -

Will a CTI PRO 29 w/ closures for 35.00 bucks get me started ????

Andy,

I am not that voiced in CTI.. BUT.. Im sure something in there 29 line will work. just stay away from the hight zoot propellents. (Warp 9 and the like)

I have flown one CTI 38 (I have a few of there cases) (I - Skid).

I would keep things around 180Ns or so.. I got my cert on a Aerotech H128 (29mm).. and still love that motor today. (3" rocket.. 2200' aprox)

Was thinking a really light H- but my concern is, can I use that case on Smaller motors as well- F's and G's ???

I went ahead and got it- committed now , lol . I plan on a soft H and the right day- besides it fits the other 5 rockets I can step down and fly G-F stuff on
default_cool.png

The cost of the CTI reloads is a little better- BUT they hit you with haz mat -where AT doesnt-

Its almost a wash tho- The CTI cases from what I have read are a little harder to build - but the case was priced right for what I wanted,

I AM firmly committed now
