The "feeding frenzy" was touched off by our elected officials(like BO and Dianne Feinstein). And now we have people who look to profit from the shortage by buying everything in sight and selling at gun shows at inflated prices.
No shiznit, at the show I just went to the best price I could find on good quality 5.56 was $15 a box of 20 and that was splitting a case of 1000 with someone. I sure hope these prices come back down to earth sometime soon as last Sunday the wife and I sent 200 rounds down range and then hit our favorite Chinese place for a sit down dinner after that. I spend less than that a day at a big out of town race. :p

I would not pay those prices nor would I burn up 200 rounds in a day. The most accurate rifle in my arsenal now is a C-Z 527 in 223. 5 shot bolt action. Let the price gougers keep the ammo. Bolt actions are more reloader friendly and shell cases last much longer if they are neck sized only. 223's are very inexpensive to reload. When supply catches up to demand the gougers will have to lower their prices to sell their wares.

Well to be honest it was 200 rounds through 2 rifles and we were dialing new hard sights and optics on both of them. Still it's not hard to go through some rounds at an outdoor range with no wait for a lane on a beautiful sunny day like it was last Sunday, we had a whole lot of fun. B)

And the hits just keep coming from Libturd infested Maryland-

Yet another student has been suspended for having something that represents a gun, but isn’t actually anything like a real gun.

This time, it was a breakfast pastry.

Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland, was suspended for two days because his teacher thought he shaped the strawberry, pre-baked toaster pastry into something resembling a gun. WBFF, the FOX affiliate in Baltimore, broke the story.

Welch, an arty kid who has reportedly been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, said his goal was to turn it into a mountain, but that didn’t really materialize, reports Fox News.

“It was already a rectangle. I just kept on biting it and biting it and tore off the top of it and kind of looked like a gun,” he said.

“But it wasn’t,” the seven-year-old astutely added.

The boy’s teacher was not happy with his creation.

“She was pretty mad, and I think I was in big trouble,” Welch told the FOX affiliate.

According to the boy’s father, school officials say Welch also said “Bang, bang” while holding the breakfast pastry.

School officials sent home a letter saying, in part: “One of our students used food to make inappropriate gestures.”

Beyond the letter, school officials offered no further comment on the incident, citing privacy concerns.

“They said they had to suspend Josh for two days, because he used his breakfast pastry and fashioned it as a gun,” the elder Welch told WBFF.

The boy’s father described the events leading up to his son’s suspension as “insanity.”

No one was hurt during the incident, he noted.

“It’s a pastry, you know,” he said.

Josh Welch is adamant that he didn’t say “bang, bang.” He does admit pointing his breakfast pastry sculpture at the ceiling.

This incident is the latest in a growing line of extraordinarily strong reactions by school officials to things students have brought to school — or talked about bringing to school, or eaten at school — that are not anything like real guns.

Good thing it wasn't an assault banana, he might have been expelled.

Hard to beleive how far the stupidity has gone in this once great country. When I was in high school I sat next to a guy named Richard Chase in a geometry class. Quiet guy- nobody really liked him. After high school I spent 2 years in college and was then drafted into the Army. About that time Richard started killing women with a knife. He was convicted and sent to prison where it was said he hung himself. Did they ban every knife in Sacramento, CA - No. But now A very few use assult rifles in criminal ways but the politicians solution is to take them away from everyone. I do not like the way our socialist prez and his cronies and the media are attacking our 2nd amendment rights. After the Semi autos what is next- handguns? Hunting rifles? Rimfires? Shotguns?

Universal background checks and mag size might make it to a vote.

Seem's odd the large metro centers think they can tell rural Missouri what we can have.

Our responce time for FD, LE, EMS is 15 to 20 min.........

The White House is still pushing for an assault weapons ban, Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday, even though Senate Democrats all but sealed its fate by dropping it from the gun-control package they plan to consider next month. "Attitudes are changing," Biden said in an interview with NPR News. "The president and I are going to continue to push, and we haven't given up on it." Biden insisted that the ban's failure is not a foregone conclusion. He pointed to the original, 10-year assault weapons ban that Congress passed in 1994, noting that it too had been written off long before it eventually was adopted. "I don't see this as there's an automatic endpoint, that, OK, there's one vote, this is it, fails, now we move on," Biden said. "We are going to continue to push for logical gun-safety regulations."

Like I said, this is far from over. Now they'll go buy votes through back room deals just like they did for ObamaCare and like Clinton did in '94 to get the original ban pushed through.

Interesting choice of words,

From common sense gun control........To logical gun safety regulations.

VP got one thing right, Attitudes are changing mine's gone from bad to worse ;)

Yeah but this is far from over. They're already looking at another way ........ taxes!
You had to mention the "T" word. At this time of year I'm pretty disgusted with it. They tax my retirement check, they tax my social security(up to 85%). My property taxes are over $2000 for a small home. I'm one year away from medicare and see it as the next CUT. Not angry at you Don, Just the people in D.C. who allow this sort of stuff to go on.

Watch, there are some Dems that are trying to get reelected in a couple of red states. They are afraid if they vote for the gun ban they won't get reelected, then Harry Reid will lose his majority position. They will definitely go all out for it again after the elections.

Yup you can count on that. This is not about guns, it's about control.

Wondering where all the 22 ammo was going local.....Get This !

Three of the CCW instructors are making them train and quailify using 22's

Then if you pass you get CCW permit for your pistol of choice.

Makes no sense to me at all, might work on 25 auto, 380, Larger calibers forget about it,

Your going to be all over the place with recoil and muzzle jump........

You should train and qualify with the weapon your going to carry,
