Dave,

I am glad to here from you, I was worried. Life is short, you have to slow down and have fun some time. I hope everyone has a Great Race this weekend.

Tunnels Rock,

Bill

Glad to hear you guys got in touch with each other! Bill - I wanna know the set-up when you get it all done!

Well done to OzBryan for winning A O/B tunnel at the Winter Spec.

Not the fastest boat there but consistency got it done! Murph running a 1.39 heat in traffic was pretty cool. MJ's Shaman was looking very strong too.

The MBC of NSW Winter Spectacular Race weekend was a huge success. We all had fun and there was heaps of very competitive racing in all classes.

A BIG WELL DONE to the Committee and the Contest Director for keeping everyone controlled and the Heats running like clockwork.

Murph's 1.39 is the target for us .21 Outboard Tunnel guys to aim at now. A combination of excellent driving and a very quick set up, well done Murph.

Ozbryan's well deserved win was achieved with a very nice running TS2/OS combination. It might not have been the fastest but it sure ain't no slouch!! ;) ;)

Thanks Guys

Yep it was a fantastic weekend! And consistency won. The boats comming on well and i know theres more speed in her only time will tell :D :D

Big thanks to James Clegg for his help with set ups tips and for building such a nice motor! B) B)

Congrats Bryan, nice win for sure. Ill take consistency over sheer speed anyday.

Send me those pictures!

I would also like to congratulate all the officials who put on a great event, but I would like to single out Tim Duggan who gave up racing this weekend (well maybe not quite “gave up” on his own but we won't go there  ) and put in a fantastic effort as CD. I know that is mostly likely not what he would have preferred to be doing all weekend. Anyway Tim congrats on a job well done...

Also congrats to Bryan for the win well done consistency certainly pays off with the TS2 it is a great boat :D , something I know firsthand and big "shout out" to all my fellow Outboard competitors for some fantastic racing.

Plus thanks to all my sponsors and equipment suppliers

MassiveMods for the worlds best RC Racing Fuel

Nomadio for a great radio system

Salisbury Power Pipes

MAC Engines

But my biggest thanks goes to Team MJ Racing for the loan of the boat and the faith in letting me race it, Vans Racing certainly knows how to build a awesome hull that could use all the potential of my AB .21 MAC.

I got my new toy friday

Thanks heaps to Rodney Peirce for packing it so well. No damage what so ever.

The hull is already in the workshop getting a rub back, and ready for Kingston team paint job ;) LOL

Ironic that it is almost hunter valley and it took me 2 years to get myself a nitro tunnel.

just wondering which boat the perith boys would like me to bring down to a club day again.

Did i hear you say that electric one.

Nar in all seriousness this will be just a whole heap of fun. Not special goin on the back or it, just a K&B, but that will keep me going for some time. Im just out to go round and round and take notes off that little grean villain and perhaps learn something along the way. :D

Well pics will come soon.

Just go to resize them...

Thats what it's all about David ;) To finish first, first you have to finish.

At this year's Winter Spec there was only 144 points difference between 1st place and 6th place. Murph set the fastest time for the class at 1.39 but Bryan won the class with a best of 1.52 so speed isn't everything. If it's reliable and consistent it will fare well at the HV champs.

Dave i can tell you thos ol K&Bs dont go to bad when you get them running right! mine went alright run high nitro like 50% and a good prop and the rest is set up.

You will have fun dave

Yeah i was just thinking starting out with 50% as my A & B monos run on that and was just going to use the same fuel to make life easier. It should go hard no doubt and cannot wait to get it running. Only need a few things like push rods and fuel hose...

Paint will take the longest time. Big believer of if it looks good, it will run good.

Here are some pictures.

Happy Birthday Murph!

I'll be there on Sunday with my "fleet", hoping to improve on my 4 DNFs out of 6 races at the last Club Day.

Regards,

James
