I also would like to see the great work you guy's have put in for this year Winter Spectular, unfortunately I'm spending most weekends with my brother who is in the last stages of M.N.D.

I will miss a great weekend rubbing shoulders/sponson's with my mate "Grub" as he's always in for a great race. Now you outboard fellow's need to enlarge your tunnel boat's and come scalie racing, now there's a toy that need's a lot of patience/persistence to get running right. I must admit I love MJ boat but the missus would kill me more if I invested that much at this present time, so for the time being I'll continue being the boundary boy and enjoy watching this class grow.

Anyway im building a scalie at the moment as well as a few other tunny nuts!! too bad they are 1/4 scale and still tunnels!! LOL

Sitting there between heats with Murph and Gino i think the sun and heat got to me i had strange ideas

and said to the boys you know id love to build a big tunnel , man what a great idea they said and from there

Original Bottom DPI but have modded a little

Hull deck What ever Dave did.

Hull Fibreglass construction

26 pum Zenoah/SPP Header/SPP Pipe.

Dual 1/4 scale servos steering.

MG servo Throttle

Drive Leg my own

I'll tell you one thing -a zenoah sitting on top of an outboard leg is enormous! I hope they are super-reliable because I don't want to be lifting it out of the water and into the rescue boat :lol: :lol:

Hi Tim,

What's the story about not publishing people's name on the AMPBA forum who have entered this event??interesting to know who the competitors all are, especially the the 8 scalies. I just think it would be better to let people know that their entry was received because as a race scretary I've had a few go walkabout, and it's better to know before the event than on the day trying to reschedule heats as most secretaries don't bank the cheques straight away so personally you wouldn't know for sure if it has been received. I'm not having a dig at you just giving some imput to what I see and hear. I'm very disappointed I can't make this one, you better make sure you all have a Jim Beam for me on the Saturday night
