Good to hear it hasn't driven you crazy Bryan.... oh well I guess it's a luck of the draw thing, just need to keep a close eye on them. Cheers guys.
Dave, I lost a cav plate screw when I first started running the OS lower, swapped the phillips head screws out for counter sunk cap screws and haven't had a drama. I find the cap screws easier to nip up tight.

I'll bring along a couple of cap screws for you on the weekend.

I didn't do the "clean with acetone" bit so I will do that next, as well as trying countersunk socket screws rather than Phillips Head.

It was very frustrating trying to keep the boat running fast with the cav plate flapping around next to it, and only held on by the silicone water cooling tube

Hi Guys,

a belated thankyou for the kind birthday wishes. I am in the process of renovating, so computer time is a thing of the past at the moment.

I did manage to "get loose" Murph.

If I don't get a chance, Merry Christmas to all of you and your families.

Gino

Congratulations Ian, you must be very proud! Certainly an exciting time of life :p

So who's entering A Outboard at the Caribbean Masters in March? I'll be there, hopefully with the semi-run-in GOOB :p

I'll be there with a hot running Breakthrough Tunnel with a Nova Rossi/Lights Conversion on an OS Lower ;)

It should be fun bringing it back "home" to see its older brother

Fantastic James! I'm glad you're bringing the Breakthrough proto back down South, as soon as I got it finished it went interstate and I haven't seen it since  It will be fun to race the siblings together. That's a great photo there!

By then I'll hopefully have the GO running well on the other Breakthrough. I might need some more setup tips from you though :p
