Justin,

We haven't forgotten about it but some of the action has been taking place on specific threads such as Kris Flynn's Vision thread and the "Interesting" thread with video of Aaron's Lynx and a race from the recent Winter Spectacular held in Sydney as well as the TS3 Build thread started by Murph. Not forgetting the video of the QLD boys (Townsville, I think) with the Vision with twin OS engines.

There is a lot happening in OZ at the moment with Tunnels, lots of Nova Rossi outboards are hitting the water using the conversion kits from Mark Leyde, the Stock Outboard Class is up and running in the Sydney Club, David Moyle is working hard to get his latest Breakthrough Tunnel design up and running for its maiden voyage at the VIC State Titles.

There are a few more tunnels being built in Brisbane and from the look of the Competitor list for the VIC Titles the 7.5cc Outboard Class is growing.

Tell us what you've got happening and then we can all chime in with our "useful & constructive" comments

Regards,

James
Yes, very well put there James. I can certainly vouch for one of those points, that I'm working VERY hard to get the next Breakthrough Tunnel prototype ready soon. It's exciting all the things that are happening with tunnels here in Aus at the moment! The sport class is a very good idea, and I'll certainly be adding to that class when time and money permit.

Cheers,

David

"Sport" outboard class, James - not "stock".

Stock requires serious scrutinizing via dismantling - "sport" just implies using standard equipment carbs and mufflers for the engine used.(in other words, no tuned pipes allowed). Perfect for OS and K&B powered boats and equals close racing.

I cannot speak for the speed that this thing is going, its quicker than my mac21 - would say in the 80lkph range. Im pretty sure that the motors are still fairly tight and also the fact that its still being dialed in. Little adjustments each time. But i can tell you that i saw this thing go 4-5 months ago and it was ok, but now its going better and im impressed. Not bad for some stock OS engines with pipes on them.

Got to love the sound of 2 motors.

Well, cannot wait to see what the boys bring out in a few months time....

Dave
Dave this is how twin sounds in real life:

WELL DONE KESSO!

You may not have won many any heats, but it goes to show if you finish them all in the top 3 you hav a chance of winning! I won 3 of 4 heats, but caught a wave is less than perect conditions in the last heat to get a DNF (Louise won that heat BTW LOL) awsome job!

Although I did get you in B Outboard with a Borrowed engine (thanks Brad!!)

Awsome racing and water for the weekend, Pity about the crash in P-Spec ;)

Kris

Yeah well done James, Kris and Louise for your 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings respectively in A Outboard at the Victorian Titles. It was a great weekend with excellent weather for most of the time (except the last tunnel heats).

Kris and Louise tied for 2nd place and it came down to Kris having a faster heat time. I hope everything is ok in the Flynn household after such a close finish

Consistent driving again James, and it paid off! Well done! And thanks again for that borrowed powerhead in our last race; sorry to have to beat you with it! B)

Also a big thanks to all the other outboard competitors for making for some close and exciting racing!

Regards,

Dave

Well done gents, and lady!

Sounds like you had a great time.

What's the go Dave, beating Kesso with his powerhead:p

G'day Gino! My old K&B finally kaboomed, so James was kind enough to lend me the MAC to go on my K&B lower instead of having me sit out the last race. Very kind of him. Our race wasn't so much of a race, as a few laps of survival, but the MAC proved to be much more reliable and tractable than the K&B was.

The MAC is now back on the Lawless on the back of the latest Breakthrough 3.5 tunnel prototype, which you will be seeing a bit of up on your Sydney water soon B)

Cheers,

Dave

G'day Bryan, neither at the moment actually; the current Victorian Titles champion has taken it away for some R&D and to get some racing km's clocked up on it :)

Thanks Bryan! Great to hear that it's liking the water up North. There's still plenty of work to do on the design yet, but I am very pleased with how it's working so far.
