When you want to play go a 120amp ESC and a 1515/1y.

THats the combos that Kris and i ran that the nationals setting 1.30 heat times.

Now technology has gotten so much cooler with more capacity in cells and better quality. So speed will be up from what we did back 2 years ago now. There are other motor options that you can go with. But then you would have to go up to the 7.5legs cause you will start snapping shafts with huge power.

The P-spec stuff or EA-spec OBT is great to get into racing with.

The boat all fit into the class of EA tunnel. So thats kinda suckfull when you turn up to big events and have to run against cats and blokes with larger power plants in their boats. But in saying that the tunnels will go ok. Perhaps in time there will be a special EA OBT class. The more boats there are the better the chances of that happening. (more to vote for it then)

What about some RTR weights so we can compare.

Mines in the trailer at the moment but i will get to it tomorrow.

As for RTR weights: (using UL-1 speedy and motor, OS lower, 600g packs)

My Vision will be around 2500g (5.5lb)

My own 'Dragon' design 2350g (5.2lb)

I know my Stock Nitro outboards ran at around 1900g (4.2lb)

If you have a K&B or REK lower you can use this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=hpi-eobck35-5mm (or get the Carbon adaptor from REK himself)

If you have an OS lower I will have my adaptors in stock again one day LOL as Dave said, not much good stuff happens at work now that I am an office boy!

Just to point out, minimum of 120AMP for the 1515 1y but to be safe go the 200+AMP I am ran mine for ages with a 120 and it was fine, but for the added safety and the 'newbie to FE' factor, bigger is better.

Im 70% sure for the Vic champs but i do not know if the Tunnel will be ready. will have the firefighter there.

Dave, The rest of your parts should be here by weeks end. I dont know what boat Grim will be sending and wether it will make it here before the Hunter Valley champs but the Villan will definatly be running. I hope you can make the trip up for them. Lets see if we can bring out all yhe tunnies and make 2 full heats. Last time I was at penrith some of the tunnels were starting to look promising

All the Sydney Guys who are coming down for this race are all chomping at the bit as well

I would have been running my HTB290/CMB RS but I had an unplanned deviation at full noise at the end of the front straight at Penrith today after I lost radio . When I retrieved it from about 20 feet up the stone covered bank I discovered I have some serious repair work to do before I get it back on the water
