Boy, pictures tell everything. After checking some specs on the

OSs, the threads on your TRP-T are 1/4-28UNF and it is the same

as the TRP. I guess it's a car thing. They seem to be making all

the new hot engines with the pilot which leaves us with the

flywheel problem.

As far as the Pixi is concerned, I think Tom is right, I seem to be

mesmerized by the looks of the engine. Although Tower says 1.6hp,

the Team Trinity site says 1.3hp which is the same as your engine.

And with that being the case, you can always buy the threaded crank

for the TR at Tower for 33.99, install it in the TRP-T and use the D1

OS flywheel. Now if we just had water cooled heads. :D

Or better yet how about a front exhaust, rear intake, drum rotor,

water cooled with flywheel .12! :p

Oh well, I can't wait to see more of your boat!

Talk to ya soon,

Don

Wow! I was out there all day today. Got it finished. Now all it needs is paint. and It it will be ready to go.

I need to get a horn for my rudder, too.

I have to build 2 more of these with in the next couple of weeks, for the hobby shop that I regular. I'm glad all I have to do is build the body and sponsons. Don't have to go through all the trouble to make all the hardware fit.

I will paint it baby blue, put some stickers on it, and a thin clear coat. Nothing fancy.

If it is sunny, I will do it tomorrow.

I guess it is too close to being finished, so I got some ants in my pants. I painted it last night, so I would be able to put the stickers on it, paint the bottom of the hull, the top of the sponsons, and clear coat it. It turned out nice.

What is this baby blue crap? Where are the flames? You cant go

fast without flames. Just ask Tom!

Seriously though, it's looking great. Cant wait to see it with all the

equipment installed and a final weight.

Talked to Mike Byer and he says his weighs just a tick under 2#

and I would sure like to hear from Rad Racer again. I find it hard to believe you could build one much lighter than yours and still have

a boat left after a few heats. However, maybe yours will come in

at close to 2#. After looking at that mount, I wouldn't be surprised!

the mount i used in my boat is super light. it is the dave brown products 1519 .48 oz. it did take extra wood how ever to use it....

Nice looking hammerhead .12. Sure doesn't take you long to build a boat.

You think this one went fast? You have to see what I did today.

I started building 2 Hammerhead .12s for Mr. Shimizu, and they both have already taken shape.

Hammer

Oh Don! I didn't have enough different colors of paint to get creative. I had some cans left over from god only knows when, so I though that I had better use them up.

Hammer

I finished painting today I will be busy doing family stuff for the New Years, so It will be the first week of January till I get it put together.

I worked on the other two boats today, as well.

I will post a pic of my progress with them.

I went out and bought one of those hole cutters. They are really handy. You can see that I used it to cut away excess weight in the frame work. If you look close at the inside walls of the radio box, you will see what I mean.

I'm not putting the whole sponson together with it. I'm just attaching the inside and outside walls with it. It works great. Tom says the technic is race proven. After trying it, I believe it.

Hammer

looking good hammer! what pipe and header you using?

dam i wish i had open water to try mine out...

I actually went to the pond to check today cause it has been warm the last week or so..... no luck still frozen!

"Wow Hammer"

That looks great! I even like the paint now. You've given me a

lot of ideas for my next project. Great thread, great boat.
