WCRA Race # 1 at Brandon

The first race of the 2009 WCRA series will be held at Dover District Park on February 8th. This race will be sponsored by Brandon Model Boaters. Race flyer will be up on the Brandon website soon.

The WCRA series is a great way to participate in racing without spending a lot on motels, etc. that multi-day races require. All are welcome to participate, just need to be a current NAMBA member.

Don, I think he wants the motor out of it....he picked up a 20 mono that had some bearing issues....i think! Cant imagine "go fast" palyin with something as ''TAME' as a Sport 20!! ha ha Of course would love to have him in the class as we want that class to grow very much! same with RTR!

Bill has created an on line registration page for WCRA events. Currently this is active only for entries. There is no online payment at this time. You will still need to send in payment. Please note, by completing the on line entry process, you are obligated to remit payment. Failure to do so will result in inability to register on line for future events and/or entry in future events not allowed.

I encourage everyone to test drive this feature and let's see if we will take it to the next step.

Feedback is welcome, please let either Bill or I know of any problems you might encounter.

Deadline for WCRA events is two weeks prior to avoid late fee. After that, final deadline (with late fee) is 3 days prior. You can enter electronically on the WCRA website, it's pretty neat.

You also can see who has already signed up and what classes they are entered in.

One week to go and the entries have been coming in! So far 54 boats entered, however several clases need an additional entry to run.

A Stock Tunnel, Sport 40II, RTR, Scale all need at least one more entry. GX-! Sport Hydro needs 2 to run. There are no Crackerbox entries. The other classes have enough entries to run. There are SEVEN B Monos!
