Hey Ron

How's my Buddy doing........??

I have built a ff 12 from the free plans on site...

I need to know what size tubing to use for the flex cable and flex cable  size...Please !!!  .150x3/16  ???

Also are you running a teflon tube .......

Butch the Bug
I'm using .130 cable on all my small block boats and it seems to be holding all right. Using the .130 cable also makes it easier to get the small Octura flex couplers for 5mm threaded and 5mm smooth shafts from fullers. I find the 5mm smooth works great on engines with pilot shafts(file a small flat spot).

I'm also using the teflon, but I'm planning on phasing it out of my setups in the future and going with a brass tube.

Hope this helps.

Hey Waterbug!

I still don't see where anybody gave you the "stuffing box" size. I use the .130 cable in a 3/16" OD tube with no teflon or 7/32" OD with teflon. With the teflon, I will sharpen the end of a small section of 7/32" OD tube and then pull the teflon through to shave it off and make it fit better in the stuffing tube.
