After experienced both countries I can say they both are great places to live.
As long as you do your homework when growing up, so you can get a decent job later, you can have a good life.
You're right Sean. Health care is not free. It is paid by taxes, but if you get sick is feels like free. It is the same when it comes to college. If you want to spend the extra money you can go to a privat clinic. You can choose.
Norway got natural resources like oil and gas, but the oil companies have to pay relatively high taxes. These taxes pays part of the health care, education and similar. The rest goes into the oil fund, owned by the citizens.
I read a funny story in the news last summer. One of the very wealthy said he would leave the country if the government didn't reduse the taxes. The next day one from the government said that she would pay his flight ticket if he promised to leave.
He didn't move.
Life is not black or white. Both contries have pros and cons. The democratic party and GOP too.
