i sure wouldn't go cutting a 1/4 off the rudder blade. you will have alot more problems after you do that

I finally arrived new Turn fin and new twin stand from Bob F last thurday. I was excite to ready run test at pond first time and Look Nice weather today. It really too fast( Quick corner) but still little problem: run striaght little right side so I keep trim left hand on radio. I tried spend time adjust level on turn fin so I found rudder blade too long ( 4.750") cause right side. I will cut trim .250 off for blade and stay struts depth: 1.250" also will change adjust left strut angle 0 and right strut angle +0.50 I will run test run agian in somday Cheers Allan

PS  Need to help me feedback! Anyone had expernince problem with Jaguar III Twin?
This is the second new boat that you've complained of cornering too quickly. Are you sure you're not over driving the corners and having to give left to get it going straight??? Why are you running different angles on the struts, no need for that on the Jag twins. Set both struts to zero to start with and you might go 1/4 to 1/2 degree negative depending on your prop choices. What angle of attack do you have front sponsons set at?? You want the right sponson to have a little more positive than the left. Sounds like your turn fin is not properly adjusted but don't go bending on it with pliers. Those fins are mandrel formed and properly set work just fine as supplied.
Use pair H-48 S&B by Andy Brown and didn't bend on it pliers yet. can you show me picture of your sponson with turn fin?
First off what is the angle of attack on your front sponsons? Is the right more than the left?
I read follow intrustion paper: put add one washer front right bolt under the boom. Adjust the front boom tube to achieve: 3.6 degree A.O.A on the turn fin sponson and 3.4 degree A.O.A on the opposite sponson

I have seen long blade 4 3/4" for Jaguar twin. I knew problem run striaght move turn little right . I had experince my sold 80 SGX Twin's blade only 4 1/4" better much than 3 3/4" and still my 90 Cobra Twin's blade only 4 1/2" Great perfect stable thats why!

Tell me your new Crapshooter Twin measure blade???

pic241 struts both same try and set paralleled with bottom could end up little pos or little neg start flat and same.

pic240 my turn fin is a little kicked up in the rear this is to keep front end down, kick it down in the rear and front end gets lose. should start with even === to bottom of boat use a flat board or counter for this set up and strut set up. Not sure on J3 but check your toe in on your sponsons some boats are built with alittle which helps with pulling.

I build mine 0-0 0-0 You Could try http://jaguarhydros.webs.com/contactus.htm

pic 239 is my way of servo to rudder push rod never has failed yet. rod is a 3mm from fly bar on rc helo

How much blade is BELOW the centerline of the struts? Also lay a straightedge along the RIGHT side of the rudder blade and tell me how close to parallel it is with the tub.

allen

i think you are overdriving the boat.. slow down the rudder speed like you did on your blackbird g2 and also move the turnfin all the way back in the slot's and let me know if that helps

centerline of the struts 3 1/2" Good straightedge on right side with blade check on measure front and rear boom good parallel 6 1/4" Bob F already set up drilled 100% for me I can't move back on turn fin' s 3 holes (look pictures)because boom touch on turn fin mount

I say good quick corner ( no problem) but not straight line " over" ( move right off) so I turn trim left hand on my radio. I still figure to look at turn fin?

Allan, again placing a straightedge along the RIGHT side of the rudder blade and looking down from overhead, how close is the straight edge to being parallel with the side of the tub?

This is what I mean by being parallel to the tub when viewed from above. The straightedge is held against the right side of the rudder blade. This is the tail end of my SAW twin and I used it for the example as it's easier to show without rear sponsons.

Don Show my pictures what about Turn fin? move forward or backward? I can't move backward turn fin touch on boom!!
