I have to say that I am honored to have all the feed back!
I have been branded as close minded. Well. Over the past two years, I have had everyone suggest changes that would cure the problems I have been experiencing with my twin. Some of these fixes have just been rediculous, still to clear the air I have done just about all of them! Close minded, NO, stubborn, Yes. How many of you would work to fix these issues for 2 years??? I refuse to let some plywood and a couple rc motors get the best of me.
Although my twin is no longer a Roadrunner, the tub is straight and well built. When I started to run the new tub, there were no launch problems. Over the course of 2 years, I have encounted issues of one kind or another.
Two years ago I was in no possition to fix my damaged hull. I simply couldn't afford it. Out of the goodness of his heart, Tom Elkins, built me a tub, and painted it. Thank you Mr. Elkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fell very lucky to have friends like that!
This past winter I ran into problems with my right hip. Four weeks ago, I had a hip replacement. Two weeks after hip replacement, I was at the pond, testing. Thanks to John Bullis and his son for getting me there!!!!!!! Three week after hip replacement I enter the West Palm race. The boat worked on Friday and part of Saturday, until the H48s bent. The only change made to the boat was ride height. Somewhere along the line, the boat was only 5/8 above the water. I'm not sure how it ended up so low, but it did. We have raised the boat to nearly 7/8, and will probably raise it some more.
I have H32s ordered also.
Thanks to all of you that have stuck up for me and tried to help.
There are some boaters here, that either don't had the mechanical apptitude or the experience to give much addvice. To call Tom Elkins tub junk, falls into that catagory.
Brett don't worry, I'm not about to give up!
