The problem is, with the 6514/3, I wont beable to get one and have it set up in time for the next race. I will go ahead and set it up for the x460/3 and see how it goes. I don't think there will be any problem with the speed. It seems like it is really screaming along. It really flys through the corners like nothing I have seen. Haven't got a radar on it, so I can't give you any specifics, but I think I'm going over 90kph as it is. I would like to put a K90 in a hydro someday.

I bet it would make a big difference. I bet it has 2-3 thousand more in the water rpm than an OS that is fully leaned out. I have to do something about the noise before the race. As it is now, I'm 8 decibils over the limit. I need to get a super quiet, or a better sub muffler. I like the titanium pipe. This is the first time I have ever used one. I think they are easier to get a good needle with than the Macs. Also, I took out the hopper after I got it leaned out, and I was able to get over 8 minutes with a 16 ounce tank. Plenty for a heat race. I only need about 4 insurance minutes for a heat. This includes the 2 minutes of milling and extra time incase I have penalty laps. With my 90 outrigger, after the start, I have finished a race in 38 seconds. (5 laps) I checked the JMPBA records, and the faster 90 monos finish in about 1 minute 5 seconds. Sometimes but rarely, do they ever cut a minute over here. With this Kingcraft, I think I can with no problem

I can get you a 6514/3, i have one at home that im not using at the moment if you have trouble getting one let me know and ill send this one over,

Once trimmed properly you will not have to back off and will be able to hold it flat throught the turns and down the straight,

try a prather muffler they really shut the boats up well,

down here our courses are longer and a x mono does a race in about 1:20, a x hydro will run down under 1:10.

Dude! I have one on order. Can't ask you for anymore favors until I get your 9Bs off to you. Haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks Hammer

Its cool dude, if it dosent show up let me know.

Ill get the plugs off to you tomorrow,

Dale

That's great!

I was using the K&B HPs to break it in, but they started to perform badly after about 5 tanks. I would like something that I could play with all day at the pond. If They are good, I will get you to send a mess of them to Shimizu and I.

Thanks.

Hammer.

Hammer San,

If the plugs are the cipolla red's,I think you will find them suitable!!!!!

Do enya 5's cost much in Japan? I used to run those b4 the red's came along.

Yes the plugs are Cipolla reds,

5 tanks out of a plug is not bad with the mccoys, i havent used the HP's for a long time, i usually change plugs after every race but the cipolla's seem to hold up very well,

My CMB used to do a plug a run!!!

Hey Guys!

The Enya 5s cost more then the K&B HPs do. I think they are about 4 bucks a pop. And that is exactly what they do after a peaked out run. I don't like them, if you haven't already figured it out. They tend to drop the filiment into the combustion chamber when the go. Not healthy for your engine. I think they are okay for airplanes. I had a mess of them that someone gave to me. I used them in my .21 for a few runs, then stopped for safety sake. I gave them to my friend who used them in his airboat.

Hey Dale! I change plugs every heat, too. Even if they plugs are still in perfect condition. I can always use them at the practice pond. I think the HPs are good. Everyone here uses them. They seem to hold up better than anything else that I've tried. Looking forward to seeing how these Cipolla reds do.

Question for you. Can you make a four inch mount for a K90.

One of my buds is wanting to buy a K90. Waiting to get another guy to make up his mind before we order from you.

Would like to order 2 so they can split the postage. The reason I'm asking about the 4inch floating mount is because he wants to mount it in his rigger. It has a four inch tub.

Have to get back to work. See ya around

Hammer

Marty,

should be able to make a 4in mount, it will be a simple mount with the rubbers mounting to the tub, ill measure up the motor when i get home and see how we go, im in the process of fitting my exhaust throttles at the moment, they look really good.

Dale

Hey dude! The guy that took the pics with the digital camera still hasn't sent them to me. I will get them posted when he does.

Looks like I get to do some more testing on Friday. This time I will go with Shimizu. This will be his first time to see it on the water. About the bladder tanks, He has them. They are about 18 US dollars over here. You should ask in the forum if you can get them in the states.

I think they will be cheaper. What size do you want? I will send you one with the carbs, cause I haven't had time to send them yet. Still have a chance to slip a tank in.

Hammer

Marty,

Thanks dude 18 or 20oz should be sweet,

my new mono is ready, James has it sitting there ready for me to pick it up, ill order the hardware next week for it, just have to deciede on a motor for it now, i want a K90 but funds are not allowing this at the moment, looks like a CMB 100 might have to be the go :(

Let me know what Mr Shimzu thinks of the boat dude.

no hurry on the carbs at all dude, just when you get time

Dale

Hey Dale!

Today, Shimizu and I went to the pond together. I did some trim tab, and turn fin adjustments. I also, took my pipe down to 28.5 cm. Got it running nice, so I decided to start leaning it out more. I got it down to 1.3 turns. Mr. Shimizu put the radar on me a few times. Nothing under a hundred.

Best was 108. I was doing this with the X460 the he cupped for me. I'm going to have to get a mold of it just in case I ruin it. That thing spins so nice. The Titanium pipe is unbelievable. When I'm tuning the needle, every click makes a distinct difference. When I stomp on it, the response is instantanious. You have to try one of these, they are a dream come true. They make the Macs look like a starving dog. I told Mr. Shimizu that you are interested in them, so he is going to give me one next time I see him, to send to you. I will pick up a 800 ml bladder tank for you, too.

That is the only size that he has right now, I think that it is about what you are looking for. It will be about 20 Au $ so, please cover 20 bucks of his next order. The 350 au $ pipe is free, though.

I wish that we could use the 1.0 over here. I saw one at a hobby shop over here, It looks like one heck of a piece of machinery. They are about 1000 Au$ over here. Yikes!!!!!

Cheaper than the K90, though.

Talk to you later!

Hammer

Hey Dale! If you want to cop this photo for your home page, go ahead.

I will try to get you another pic of it with more of the rooster in the frame. This pic was taken before I got it trimmed out, and maybe it was only the 3rd or 4th run.

Talk to you later.

Hammer

Dude,

thats awesome!!! 108km is moving with a 460/3 the quickest i ever went with one of them is 102, the 6514/3 is a heaps faster prop,

im saving to get some K90's in stock now,

if you want CMB90's we can get them for you and they will be less than $1000au to you thats for sure!!! but not as good a motor as the K90, the CMB's will not rev as hard due to the huge cranks in them.

Dale

I went again Sunday, and the most I could get out of it was a 102. I changed the silencer and that was it. But, I think that is plenty fast for the course that I will be running next weekend.

Hammer

Hey Dude!

Yes! I got the 6514/3. I tried it last Friday. It was okay. It took too long to wind out in the straights. If I was running a longer course, I think that it would be better, but the course I will be running this coming Sunday, will be rather short. I need to be able to get up to full speed right out of the corner. If I make it to the nats next summer, then it will come in handy, because the course there is considerably longer. I have it set up now so I can turn the 8 meter curve at full blast without wetting my pants. Took a while to get it right, but I think I found the sweet spot.

Hammer

Hammer,

how long is the pipe to the first wide section?? is it still 28.5?? you may need to go to 29.5, it may be a little short for the bigger prop, there should be no problems pulling that at all,

Dale

You know, You maybe right. I was thinking about that right after my last post.

I'm still at 28.5. I was thinking that just maybe the pipe was too short.

Hey Tom! What happened to the pics.

Hammer
