Andy, Not sure.. If the motor fits I would say sure.. why not.

I make mine from Estes Tubing and centering rings.. You can use a engine clip if you want too. Estes sells engine mount sets. They can be used for this.

Nice work on the pad Andy.. that will get the job done.

The old CP CG deal eh Bill.. yea.. been there done that!

As far as the BP motor in the composite nozzle.. Likely not going to work.. but if you try it.. GET VIDEO!

I will admit I did trim off the rear nozzle off the composite case and also enlarged the hole in my top cap.

I will take the concept to the ban saw and make a proper one in the next day or so- but I'm happy with the outcome and hopefully I can fly some of my stuff of smaller fields now.

The reason I wanted to use the 29mm composite case was - most of my stuff uses the Estes retainers and they are sooooo easy .

Thanks, I could have EASILY just got the LOC's for a whopping three bucks each, but with nothing but time on my hands and a bunch of spent G40 casings laying around- why not.

Whats gonna get me close to an E16 in a non composite ?

The kit on the far left is the Mini Mosquito- the body tube isnt the size of an A motor

The 29mm retainers are for the Hawk and one of the Mozzie's so when we do go back to TTRA -

We are ready to fly two new rockets on G-Motors

Gettin "STUFF" is FUN, aint it?? those little rockets remind me of a kit Estes made back in the 1960s called The Streak...it was 50 cents, had a Mylar body tube, tiny nose cone and 3 slim fins...i built a half dozen of em..lost every one i launched...with a C6-7, the projected altitude was about.....2000 FEET! GONE every time!!

LMAO - Im trying to keep em under a 1000 - lol hence the little chit.

Got the Flutter By 2/3rds built and realized the booster engine tube is missing from the kit- grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh well , off to the Mini Mosquito and Micheals in the am for some 1/2 A's

If the weather is good......ABSOLUTELY! I just put a white base coat(ill post pics)on a couple of scratch built cluster rockets...never clustered before...and i REALLY want to SEND EM UP!!!God only knows what'll happen, sooooo LETS DO THIS THING!

SO - got waaaay to bored and loaded up and headed off to my original Flight Site before TTRA-

Weapons of choice on the small field-

Estes Rascal - Semrock Give away rocket "Technology Fuels Rocket" - Estes SkyTrax and The trusty- Quest Magician
default_wink.png

Started off with the new bird the SkyTrax on a B-6/4 - (had to hard angle into the breeze on all-short field
default_sleep.png
)

Perfect flight and 20 ft from the pad. The Rascal was next on the same motor and double the altitude EASILY - 20ft from the truck recovery.

Next up was the Technology Fuels Special- same motor and perfect flight - aside from a concrete landing that dinged the boat slightly -no big deal.

Getting a little cocky a fired a C-11( in a heavy breeze) in the Magician and had another perfect flight .

Total for 2hrs -

Rascal - 4 Flights B6/4 X2

C-11/3 x 2

Technology Fuels - B6/4 x1

SkyTrax - B6/4 x2

Magician - C-11/3 X 2

Casing carnage

Looking at the launch pics of the Magician- use the white van on the interstate in the background and the light pole next to it to gauge liftoff-

On an E9/8 its seeee yaaa in a flash, that was only a C
default_laugh.png

Frankenstein is on the way -
default_huh.png

I broke out all my extra parts/body tubes/nosecones/fins- ect and Im gonna make my own design -

Look out
