Dan, I've got one of my Cat's running well but not well enough to go up against twin gas 'riggers or whatever hot boats that are running in that class. I just wanna run and have fun but will try to stay out of the way of the much faster boats. I don't know who Eric has to deal with though as the Lazer 45 is running better than last year but Waltr's boat was running really well last year at Hobart.

Hey, I might need a pitman if you're available and if you or anyone else need one, I'm more than willing to lend a hand.

I'm gonna get my tail handed to me on a platter! :(

Just wanted to say if anyone thinks they will walk into Hobart expecting an easy race they got another thing coming. All the classes will have some of the Best Competition Around !!

you got that right gooy.

and i bet most heats are going to be 8 boats.. gonna be REALLY BUSY. lol

see ya in a few weeks

we tried 8 to a heat at the 2007 gas nats at celina.

to say it was a BAD idea might be one of the worst understatements EVER made! FAST BOATS, DEAD BOATS,lane infractions, collisions, wrong positions, counters forgetting what lap they were on,and on and on.

i would vote against it.

4 to 7 boat heats are designed.

BIG NEWS!

There will be a "Luau" on Saturday evening. This is also sponsored by the City of Hobart. Drivers are paid for. Bring your Hawaii Shirts for this, I've got mine. Additional tickets for the feast will be $8.00.

Menu:

Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Broasted Chicken

Maccroni Salad

Slaw

Baked Beans

Cake

Iced Tea and Lemonade

Kerri from "METIME" promised to bring decorations for the race area. Maybe you can talk her to wear her grass shirt for this!

I am working on the IMPBA team. This is tough. These NAMBA guys are already talking smack and they are very fast. I am looking for the real point getters. I have narrowed it down to about 11 drivers.

Stu, any park rules on alcohol after the races? I'm thinking of bringing a mini-keg of some local micro-brewery beer along but can save it for the Red Roof Inn.

Is Janet going to be at the race this year? That old gal is crazy in a good way!

The pulled pork, is that coming from the restaurant down the road that the guy sold last year from a Radio Flyer? That was some good stuff!

Now to find a Hawaiian print shirt and some leis. Maybe some party lights for the trailer and canopy. Tiki lights? This could be fun!

Bad news to share, that micro brewery downtown closed up recently so brace yourself. Sorry about that but had to say it, I know some people really liked that place but its a cafe now....lol. Don't worry Hobart has some good bars within walking distance.

I'll bring my Don Ho records, Tiny bubbles.

No need to bring records,Nails has it on his IPOD listens to it while testing his twin. I hope the hot dog joint across the street is still open mmmmmmmmmmm

Mike, that hot dog joint across the road from turn one? That pickle relish is a weird color but I think that a lot of Chicago style dogs use that stuff.

JP, I plan on bringing my own mini-keg. We've got some award-winning beer up here in town. The Aussies would love it as it doesn't take a lot to get a buzz going and is some of the best beer I've tasted.

Stu,

Due to lifestyle changes and other commitments, I won't be able to make it to Hobart to race. So, there will be another opening in Multi Engine and Sport 20.

I had a great time last year and want to do it again, but just can't get the days to do it this year. :( But I'm coming down on Saturday to see the gang anyway.

Good Luck to you all!!

Walt,

Sorry to hear that. Hope you can come anyway.

Ron,

I would save the keg for the Red Roof. Janet did not say who the vendor is for the food, but I am sure it will be great. Lights-that would be cool. Be ready for a GREAT time.
