Going through light bulbs like crazy, is this a plot to get rid off them.

The tombstone sockets on each end can go brittle and make you think you have a bad ballast or bulb. Just went thru all of this in the shop. I have the 32wt 4 tube setups thruout. Dropped one of the old 8' ones and it landed perfectly flat on concrete,,so I have had my dose of Mercury for this year I think.
