Doc,

Probably best asked over on Jim's as several people are running them with gas motors. Locally we have a couple guys running them in Gas, 45 and 80/90. Most use Lenny Blakes hardware.

All the ones I have seen run have tabs.

You can get all the hardware from Lenny Blake (rum racing). All of the hulls I've seen develop cracks starting at the square corners of the hull opening. Grinding a 1/8" radius in the sharp corners should prevent that.

I run a CalCraft with a .45 size engine. The hull, all hardware and set up help came from Lennie Blake. With the turn fin set properly, the CalCraft is good in the turns. Nice running hull and competitive.

You need to angle the turn fin to the out side to make it turn good.

Thy are fast and carry that speed in to the corners.

Thy can be a hand full in the corners if you don't set up for it.

Also a larger turn fin will help with the pushing out of the turns.

Down the straits thy shine in any water.

I love reading this. I have a cal craft coming soon. it'll be gas. but still I can't wait
