In this “reality” segment people are stopping by having there boats taped for them.. and a conflict breaks out..

Ted. some info.. IF" you have an epoxy sealer finish on your radio box area 3M #5 and most others (all I know of anyway) WILL leave a residue in the area you are taping.. If you were to clear paint over that area it would not...Funny, I bought AquaCraft Tape(Grim) from Hub Hobby in Minnesota and it said 3M on the inside of the plastic. $24.00 a roll.
After going through the 3M store - it matches #5 or #6 Electrical tape. Yes, it does leave a residue(Proven from this weekend's Hydro shootout) Easily removed with a slight shot of WD40. Doesn't harm the paint. I have No complaints with Grim's tape - never had any problems. Price is High, but so aren't recievers & servos. B)
Grim is right for sure. You should put a coat of good car wax around the radio box area on a new paint job. This will keep the residue from being left on the paint.Ted. some info.. Yep, that is the $2.69 tape I was looking at. What is it Grim? Not the 3M stuff. The Tape Wars stuff above is too funny!!!
