the cheap aq tape is just that - cheap tape. it does leave residue on wood, plastic & fiberglass. the more expensive aq tape is just as good (the same tape) as what tim & ed sell here. get the good stuff, where ever you buy it B) .

Thats to funny. Don't know about being the King but do sell a lot of tape. I sell about two three cases during the year and I always sell a case at every race I go to.

Funny, I bought AquaCraft Tape(Grim) from Hub Hobby in Minnesota and it said 3M on the inside of the plastic. $24.00 a roll.

After going through the 3M store - it matches #5 or #6 Electrical tape. Yes, it does leave a residue(Proven from this weekend's Hydro shootout) Easily removed with a slight shot of WD40. Doesn't harm the paint. I have No complaints with Grim's tape - never had any problems. Price is High, but so aren't recievers & servos. B)

Ted. some info.. IF" you have an epoxy sealer finish on your radio box area 3M #5 and most others (all I know of anyway) WILL leave a residue in the area you are taping.. If you were to clear paint over that area it would not...

Grim is right for sure. You should put a coat of good car wax around the radio box area on a new paint job. This will keep the residue from being left on the paint.

Yep, that is the $2.69 tape I was looking at. What is it Grim? Not the 3M stuff. The Tape Wars stuff above is too funny!!! Glad I started this thread, was looking for info and also got entertained! lol, thanks to all.

Any way you cut it the 3m brand Mark n Grim sell works the best and is worth the money. Roll of tape/few glow plugs cost about the same.....This hobby aint CHEAP Oh forgot wait till you come home from work one day and the wife is wrapping Xmas presents with it........holy crap

I have used it when I ran out of tape for orders.

I think its cheaper than the small rolls of scotch tape you would buy at office max.
