Just used the stuff from tower hobbies and it is junk, it leaves behind the sticky goo when you remove the junk at the end of the day. I threw two rolls in the trash and ordered 4 rolls from Tim Jones. Just my two cents.

If you got a good clean surface and remove very carefully it's not too bad. 3M is definately better though

scotch brand 33+ electrical tape, any color except black it leaves a residue same as 3M. its reusable too

James.. we buy it from 3M by the case....

Grim

Grim, if it is the same 3M tape why is it on a differnt roll? The 3M Bullard and Otto sells is on a cardboard roll, the AQUA tape appears to be on a plastic roll. Plus it is half the price and everyone that sells the 3M claims they are making less than a dollar on each roll. Just curious before I buy some. Thanks, James

I have used both the 3M tape and some clear hockey tape (used by hockey players to hold shine pads in place, outside the hockey socks). NIETHER leaves a sticky residue! The tape sold at sporting good stores also stretches a bit and is a little wider! You can buy it for $3.00 and is waterproof.

I know that the tape that Aquacraft sells is the same tape. I don't know why there is a cardboard or plastic hub. I have had both, even got them the same time from differant cases. This tape is very pricely and is not a tape but a film. I have about four sellers that buy tape from me. Otto being one of them and yes none of us make lot of money on it. More of a service.

Funny, I bought AquaCraft Tape(Grim) from Hub Hobby in Minnesota and it said 3M on the inside of the plastic. $24.00 a roll.

After going through the 3M store - it matches #5 or #6 Electrical tape. Yes, it does leave a residue(Proven from this weekend's Hydro shootout) Easily removed with a slight shot of WD40. Doesn't harm the paint. I have No complaints with Grim's tape - never had any problems. Price is High, but so aren't recievers & servos. B)

Ok here is the deal,

You can get it in paper core or plastic core. I prefer the plastic core because it can get wet without the core falling apart.

It comes 3/4" wide(perfect width for 99.9% of anything) and has 72 yds on it which is plenty. I ran 5 boats on 1 roll for half a season.

The tape has a 5yr shelf life so you do not have to worry about it going bad.

The 3m tape is also chemical and oil resistant and can be repositioned .

As Mark Said, you won't get rich selling it but is a excellent product to have a service.

Grim is trying to make a profit as most should and others just about sell it at cost.

I would not fault Grim on this,Its just the way it is.
