Tunny Guys,

Newbys, World Racers & those thinking about joining us.

I am keen to do what ever we need to do to get our Sydney Tunnel race as good as the BOB Tunnel race.

It would be cool if we Tunnel Racers had a couple of "BIG" Races through the year.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the things that we need to do to pull a decent entry list for the Winter Spectacular?

MJ

Yea M.J I'm hoping to be there.

JASSP STRINGER PRO-21 (21 mod tunny)

Sorry MJ

I cant make the winters but I will send my "B" Tunny for team JASPP to run if its ready!

Dave
Hi Mate,

I don't think that we are going to run a 7.5 class. Better send the other JASSP STRINGER PRO-21 to make a name for its self.

Guys,

Any word on what classes they will be offering at Sydney in August??

Regards,

Bucky
After last year, lets hope they get a few more entries.

Their club members supported other events but no one turned up last year except for a couple of us from Newcastle, four from Queensland and two from Victoria and a few from Sydney.

From memory they usually have the Top Gun perpetual trophies for X Hydro, X Mono, Gas Hydro and Gas Mono plus the Silver Cup for 1/8ths plus the normal classes.

I don't think they would turn anyone or any classes away this year.

I am pretty sure tht the only outbord clss that will be offered is "A".

Lets face it the current number and standard of most of the "B O/B's" does not justify class. We just may be capable of finding enough boats for the Nats.

I would rather not have a second O/B class, to ensure that we all get a solid weekend of racing the "A's".

There was a few at BOTB but they weren't that spectacular. My 7.5 crapper didn't even start a heat.

If the B Mono and X Mono guys run fast and tight like they ran last year, there will be plenty of broken boats. Thats what we want to see, side by side, close to the edge racing.

More than three 1/8ths would be good as well.

It is called the Winter Spectacular isn't it?

I am with you Grub.

The outboards have not previously been included in this event. It's therefore inportant that we put on a good show.

Since BOB, I am aware or at least 6 new high quality 3.5 O/B's that have or are about to hit the water.

I don't think that 10-15 boats are out of the question, (and that's without some of the crappers that ran at BOB).

What do we think guys.

Guys,

doing some thinking about wht O/B classes make sense.

The premier class is and will be "A" I think we all agree on that.

But I am not sure where we should go from here, a bunch of you guys are building 7.5's, a few are thinking about gas, and a few are thinking about twins!

I don't think we should be contemplate setting up a heap of new classes, it's hard enough to get 4 rounds of racing now.

What do you guys think about making our second class an "open" class, i.e. run what ever you want!

I agree with Mark.

If the clubs decide to run another outboard class then it should be a open class.

Ie. 7.5,11,13,15,cc plus petrol outboards.

Then after this class is ran for a while then see how many in each capacity there is.

Just my 2bobs idea

mark thats a grate idea it would c the obs have some good racing but if every 1 puts in what class ob they want 2 run then c wot we have we might end up with 7 or 8 b ob's and if there are only a few of each B,C,X and GAS then run them all 2gether laters dion
