Grub,

B O/B tunnel is on the entry form....... right after A O/B tunnel :p :p :p

I think the quoted reference was for Electric boat classes.

Tim.
Hmmmmm (strokes beard like someone else to think, how the .... did I miss that?)

So it is. My bad.

Geez may have to get the old mod 7.5 out for a play, been a while.

May need a shovel for the dust on top of it.

Hey guys

Re the 7.5 Outboards

I did get an email back from bucky, plan is enter as per Enrty form and they will move boats around subject to numbers,

See how we go

Ill enter mine in B/Outboard and if no class hopefully they will put me in Hydro to have a run

Tim i read that quote as electric as well mate.

It looks like 5 of you have mentioned racing in B O/B tunnel (if Dion can get the parts he needs and Mark finds an engine). As long as all 5 of you enter, you have a class.

hmmmm (strokes imaginary beard in proxy) I wonder how one of those Italian .26ci,.27ci, or .28ci "truck" motors converted to O/B would perform against the K&B .45's? - size wise they are legal....

just need bearings and a starter cone and i will have mine in for sure any 1 got a starter cone they want 2 sell or that i can borow 2 copy if its not ready ill use crage c's old 1 if he lets me lol laters dion

No worries guys with no electircs at BOB, to freaking far to go from QLD any how.

Next thing, NATIONALS - there are several people i know that want to have electric classes there. All i know is that the nationals are in April, who do i talk to so electrics can be included. It will be not a good thing if electric are not allowed. Not trying to stir anything here. It was not the electrics fault that HV could not get through the rounds. Look at the entrants from 2004 compared to 05. Lots more boats and people. We only had 2 classes, thats 5mins max for a race. 15 minutes racing is all for the weekend for the mono classes. Rain and lightning was also to blame, not us.

I want to get the electric boating going in AUS. You guys have several races to got to a year, We have ZIPO, SQUAT, NATTA, NOTHING!!!! HV was great to meet fellow boaters, learn some new boating things and just race with other people with the same interests as myself. Who do i talk to in AMPBA to get an electric even. The only reason that we have to tag onto the gas/nitro meets is because, well as per what i said before.

where do we go from here.

David

Well thats a pity about BOB. The reason given is very interesting.

I wonder if they will allow electrics in 1/8?

Who is organising the 2006 Nationals?

2006 Nationals are being held at Finley - NSW. Craig Knight would be the person to discuss anything to do with that event. He's on IW.

Please keep in mind that these guys volunteer their time to putting on events before giving them a hard time! You won't do your cause any good by p155ing them off.

Can you guys start a new thread about that subject please. This thread needs to be kept on track.

Thanks for the info Tim

As electrics are a national recognised class I wonder what the problem is with running them?

We only really had 700's at HV which is the entry point rather than the midpoint or top end of performance

Any feedback or suggestions about runnign electrics - including negative appreciated

Andrew- Sure, I'll give you my comments on that subject if you are curious - just start a new thread for it.

All,

Greg M and Mark J ran their Topspeed2's yesterday at Penrith - sounds like they are very happy with them B) B) B) Quick to build and a cheap entry into 3.5 O/B tunnel.

Tim.

Guys, what a great day,

those picts are great Mark - thankyou to Murph. No worries Greg re the cooking mate, wish I could drive as good as I can cook

I had a great time, unfortunately still having probs trying to get the CMB to sing. Thanks to Richard S for helping me out with the CMB.

It was great to see the TS2's going around, and like Greg mentioned, they aint no slouch!!!!

Yes, it is fun in Sydney at the moment with the tunnies, I'm sure it will continue to be a growing class in Aus.

Gino

I'd like to come and play next year with my 7.5 tunnels.

Still trying to sort them out and learn to back off when things get outta shape :p

Tripped my mono over on the weekend and keept going and didn't even get hurt

Go to love these little boats

Thanks guys for the comments on the pics and making me welcome on the day, Mark pointed me to the forum.

Took about 100 odd photo's on Sunday about 50% are ok the rest are  hmmm got some great shots of the lake if anybody is interested  , tricky little buggers to take photos of but with a little more practice I sure I will get better. I'm used to bigger targets....

Thanks to Gino for the snags......

I will try to get to the meet on the 27th and take some more pics.
