Also many thanks to Mark Leyde for the GO OB engine and to Ron Drake for the boat certificate. Kudos to Randy Premo and Wayne Farrow for the great CD jobs. And of course to MeTIme for the internet race broadcast. Well done to all. Time to rest, I am wasted.

All the scores are posted on rcRacingEvents...Remember we threw out the lowest score and that adjustment has not been made on rcRacingEvents site.. I posted them so you all can see where the rest of us losers placed..Had a great time. Special thanks goes out to Bill Britton who talked me threw his program more than once..he was helping me within minutes of my calls to him. It is a great program and I am looking forward to using it again. jj

Thanks to the Charleston Model Boaters for a great race this past weekend. We had a great time and can't wait to race with you guys again.

Everyone has been kinda quiet about this one but, anyone who was not there missed out on some great weather, good food, fun and of course some great racing. Thanks to the CMB members who worked hard before and during the race to make it all happen.

Randy and Wayne, thanks for working the CD stand, the bar b que was good and a lot of raffle tickets were sold. I think almost everybody bought the super stretch for $20 which was a great show of support!

And myself, after trying for years to win Mod-VP at this race it was finally my turn and I went for a nice cool swim to celebrate! Mic, you still have some speed on me but I am going to fix that. And now we are going to have 2 more Mod-VP drivers in the mix. Can't wait for STORM Round 3.

Very well said Mark and First and foremost THANK YOU for the sponsership and about time you win the class you started.and Randy Premo what can you say but THREE IN A ROW THATS STRONG. and congrat to all the winners. but if you came to this event to me you were a winner by just attending this race. Thanks to all the CMB Members and see yall in three weeks. Mitch

Obviously the race got overshaddowed by certain current events which will not be discussed here. Back to Charleston!!!!!!!!!!! Great race, 6 heats, lunch breaks, laid back Low Country hospitality and by no means any less competition with a smaller field. This really is more than a tunnel event, has all the trimmings of a family reunion. If you could not go you missed out. If you are a true tunnel racer and opted out shame on you.

Congratulation to all who ran and Mark, very deserved win in ModVP. I could hold you off on the water but not on the score board. My victories only were heard in the truck on the way home. You have the tittle of "World Champion". Storm 3&4 yet to come and the "Bracelet" is still up for grabs.

Mic

Mod-VP.....OMC hull, K&B SX uncut and unmodified, detongued X440 prop, Technology 50%.

One of the best running engines I have ever used and the only reason I will take it apart is to so some mods for a little more punch.... to deal with you Mic!! Safe bet next time it is raced it won't be stock. Bwahahahah!

4th place, B (20) Tunnel, VISION hull, NovaRossi, Zoom carb, Lawless lower, Nelson prop assembly, Silver Bullet pipe, X640, own fuel, Futaba. Only 2nd race for this boat with two heat wins, one 2nd, one 3rd, one DNF. Will do better next time.

1st place sport 20 lynx stock os shim out, otto hot , jimmy johnson prop ,radio futaba 4pk

1st place gas tunnel, modified woodstuff, my own design lower unit, zenoah power, steering by servo city, propworks west 7016-410. pennzoil synthetic 8 to 1, and most important a excellent pitman ( steve hearle)

Last place gas tunnel, at least I'm consistant B)

Joe's woodstuff was rockin, great job. All the others where playin ketchup :) I think if Mitch had not flubbed up his radio box joyriding, he would have had something for Joe, but was not meant to be.

Had a blast as usual, for some reason the apple pie drinkers dwindled to only a few sippers and Gabe and Don drank a few with me and Dave.

I was again murphys law's poster child for the weekend in gas tunnel and pitting for my son Carter, neither of us finished a heat  it happens,

A very special thanks to Deryl's Hobby Shop, without him Carter wouldnot have been able to run, (or me)servos, battery, charger, starter, and glow igniter, yep, forgot all that stuff sittin on the table at home. Deryl is the man. and thanks Wayne for the iv bag and Joe for the pull starter. Got a easy start from Mitch along with some special lube  , gottcha.

Can't wait till next year, one of my favorite events of the year. Great job to all, even sidewinder, no boats where harmed other than hers and the bank B)

Doug
