Some questions about the 45 Zoom carb :

Do you have a picture ?

What is the dia of the bore ?

" The CMB 45 HR and the MAC 45 carbs are the same ". The CC of the mounting bolts are not the same, so have you made the holes elongated ?

Will you make a version for the CMB 45 RS ? If the body of the carb have enough material to make a 2 mm deep hole, it will be easyily modified with a 14 mm endmill.

Wow too funny, just sent a p/m to Charles asking the same thing. Personally I think the 45RS motors outnumber the 45HR's out there by a good bit so hopefully we'll see a Zoom for that application soon.

Hello Kim and Don, the bore on the Zoom 45 carbs is .437.

The difference between the carb mounting for the CMB 45 HR and the MAC 45. is only very slight. No problem. As for the CMB 45 RS, I do not have one of these engines yet to make a carb for it. That project will probably have to wait for the next cool season. It is almost testing (play) time of the year now.

I am a bit surpriced with this large bore. If the spraybar also is short with a small dia, low end and axeleration will normally suffer. The large effective area gives low air velocity and "poor" performance exept at full throtle.

Have you tested many different bores ?

Is the secret with this carb performance the shape and form of the spraybar ?

Kim if you had one of these babes you would understand how it works. My buddy just left with my 67 Zoom as i could not pry it back from him... Ps yes Mark it was Tom D and you know how picky he is.........
