A sneak preview of the new Zoom 67 carb. :) This is for the CMB Green Head engine.
Guys, I have 22 of the Zoom 67 carbs for the CMB Green Head. First off, I do not have Mark Shouland's list of people that contacted him and was maybe interested in these carbs when they were avaliable. I am going to post my list in the order that I received them. There may be some duplications and/or omissions between the 2 list. To try and be fair to all the people that want these carbs, I will post my list and adjust it with the people that contacted Mark Shouland the best that I can to try and satisfy everyone.

Please just respond to my new E mail address: [email protected] with your full name and address.

The price of the Zoom 67 carbs will be $105.00 plus shipping. Tracking and insurance will be additional, at your option.

Payment is to be made with Pay Pal or Money Order.

Don Maher...........had his so long that it is probably worn out. Great testing and feed back, Thanks Don.

Charles,

Two questions please:

1. Will the 67 carb fit the MAC 67?

2. What is the ID of the carb throat?

Looks very good! Thanks.

John

i would like to know the bore diameter also. if they are big enough i will take one. by the way a cmb wont fit a mac, but a mac can be modded to fit a cmb

Hello John, the bore size of the Zoom 67 carb is .468, large enough to flow very well and small enough to give good drivability. The Zoom carb design straightens and stabilizes the airflow through the carb allowing the carb to flow more air through the same size bore.

The carb will not fit the MAC 67. I am not sure about the CMB 80.

Thanks, Charles

Are these strictly 67 carbs are would they applicable to the 80 Green/Red heads?
-Buck-

Hello Buck, we haven't ran the Zoom 67 carb on the CMB 80 yet. I would like to hear back from someone that will try this.

I do know that the Zoom 21 carb, even though it was designed for a 21 size engine, ran EXTREMELY well on a Novarossi 28.

Thanks, Charles

Sure I'll be your R&D man for the 80's, just send a pair down here to TX and well put'em in the Twin. :p

Hi Charles,

I sent you an email and PM regarding payment for the 67 carbs, but I have not heard back from you. Just wanted to touch base.

Cheers,

Kevin

Hello Kevin, I got you messages. I have had a crappy weekend so far. The septic tank at my house is stopped up. Been working on it, still not finished. If is ok with you, I will get back to you Monday.

Thanks, Charles

NO PHIL. you're totally misunderstanding the issue. a mac carb(67/84) is the same diameter, where it goes in the drum housing, as the cmb (67/80), only it's longer. also the cmb has an oring groove, which the mac does not. you can take a mac carb and cut off the end to the same length as a cmb and it will fit fine( i use a little silicone to seal it). if you try to cut the oring groove in the older mac .550 bore or the newer .510/.550 bore housing, you will cut into the barrell bore. the old mac .510 bore housing has enough metal to cut the oring groove into it. a cmb will fit the mac, but where the carb fits into the drum housing, it will be short, but it will bolt up. maybe that it's too short doesn't matter to some.

Yes, the MAC has the o-ring groove on the drum housing, not the carb neck. The neck of the CMB carb will leave a gap in the bore of the drum housing, as it is shorter than the MAC. This gap will create turbulence in the air column.

OK guys, I'm back. Tough weekend. Reminds me of when I started to school in a tiny country community. There was no indoor plumbing. One of the first books that we were required to read was "Mile To The Outhouse" , written by Willie Makit and illustrated by Bette Dont.

Give me a few more hours to get back into my stride and I will respond to everyone.

Thanks, Charles
