Nice looking boat!!
Is that the recommended setup?
No, just curious.I eyeballed the prop depth, angle, and COG but it should be close to recommended. Does it look like it's running too flat? This is my first tunnel so I have a lot to learn.
Does anyone know if David ever finished this project? Would be cool to have to open up the .21 outboard options. Between that and the .45 CMB adapters from Joern and a few others, will be a lot easier to get some tunnels on the water.Read this thread in its entirety......

David Hall , as we speak , is currently designing an outboard motor adapter for .21 a car motor with a SG shaft.....this will mount on any outboard lower unit that starts the motor with an encapsulated belt in the adapter.....This will make any .21 motor , by definition , an outboard motor........The reference photo is of the 12 motor adapter made by David.......
You will no longer be required to have a dedicated outboard motor with a PTO and a reverse direction crankshaft.....
The .21 adapter is similar to this one shown in the photo.....You can see in the thread I referenced we have tested this adapter design approach with great success.....
Fred Howe at Lawless already has .21 adapters ready for sale to be used with car motors.....
Do you have the cowl secured at the rear with screws? If not I'd highly recommend it. I've destroyed (and then rebuilt the cowl with FG cloth and epoxy) mine with it just being velcro'd on. I've since cut some aluminum post and mounted on the rear (like you would mount a body on an RC car) and that solve that issue. If the boat submerges (which mine loves to do) it will rip the cowl off when the boat resurfaces, breaking the front.I have only had the G30 out a couple times but the cowl failed at the nose both times out. The bottom cracked and ripped out the first time (not a the seams but at the tab) then I reinforced the bottom of the nose with glass. Stuffed it in some chop yesterday and got a bigger crack through the side this time. Going to reinforce the whole nose with glass and fix but looking for other options.
I heard there was a carbon fiber cowl.... anyone have one for sale?

Kris thnx for sharing, I've found this very helpful on my tunnels..Great to see so many new outboard tunnel builds!
I had made up a setup sheet which some might find useful to track their changes, some might not. I Can change the top to suit ZippKits G30 if it makes you feel better also
