I'm in need of 6 .003 head space washers for above engine. Where is everyone getting theirs? Thanks for your help!!

You should check with Steve Woods, he will have or will make whatever you need. Like I mentioned before, not many run a shim on the OS, so they may not be as available as some other engines.

The XM-21-OB motors run well on .003" head clearance, why would you need to change that?

I think the stock shim supplied with the motor is .006. Seems some of the guys are trying the .003 with success. Thanks

John, what Mark is saying is that with no shim, the clearance is already at .004-.003". This is where most guys run the engine, with no shim at all.

Ok, I'm following you now. Need to check head clearance first and see where I'm at. Sorry guys, it's been 25 years since I last was into this. Thanks for your help!

i have made head shims out of a soda can they are .004 . use a good sharp pair of dividers scribe the outside then the inside several times ,the center will come out then you can cut the outside with scissors, they have worked great for me!
