WCRA Championship Series - Race #5 - Sept 30th - Dover Park (Brandon) FL.

No entry fee race, come join us for a laid back day of great racing. The price is right ;)

LET THE SMACK BEGIN

Laid back is right! The ears on my l_ynx that is! I'm hoping to disappoint alot of 20 tunnel drivers this weekend! Got my gas mono done as well. No 20 mono this race, the OPS is still shrapnel!

Andy: Free? Does that include lunch? The one day races are my favorite and I will be there with my boats and a back-up for you. Pizza or Steak Sandwiches this time? Perry

If Don buys pizza lunch is on me- LOL. Your breakfast and lunch are covered if the food guy is there!! He had some killer breakfast sandwiches last time.Look forward to seeing you Perry. Got your back in Sport 40 by the way.

The Atlas will TRY and make her heat one debut (tough way to start) with a little help from some friends. Her maiden voyage was a tick less than a shake-down run to say the least.......

Too quiet for my liking! Where is our fearless leader Don Riek? Are we going to have a good turnout? I sure would like to see 10 or 12 scales and an equal number of sport 40's. Perry

well, not racing. But I am still going to try to make it down to shoot the bull with ya'll

Zach

Zach: I hope that you can make the race on Sunday. If you do will you please look me up. I will have two scale boats there. The Miss Tri-Cities and the Mark & Pak. Would like to meet you and discusss some things of mutual interest. Many thanks and hope to see you. Perry

Boat Count at 94. There will be 51 heats. Should be a full day of racing! Nice to see such a large entry.

Very nice, sorry I couldnt make it out this morning, had to work till 1:30 today. What time are we getting started ???

Wow,wicked tough day at the lake. The wind was KILLER, the worst I have run in yet. A constant 10-15mph with gusts to 25+mph

Its was a "race the water/race the clock" type of day that would test anyones skills. You really had to forget about the other boats and run your race no matter how it shook out.

Thanks to Don Riek and the rest of the gang for another fun day of racing at the Brandon pond, despite less than perfect conditions. I'm glad I dont run tunnell, Poor guys,it was slow-attrition type racing. When the big gas mono's/cats are blowing off and stuffing left and right, you KNOW its a nasty day. My 40 mono was a handlful, and the poor Atlas coulda used some flat water for its maiden laps!!! Good times at Brandon again despite the wind. Good to see lots of gas guys to.

See ya at the 2 day next month-

Joey , if you read this stuff- good job today- you had the better boat.

Almost failed to mention- Perry got high score for the most style points with a PERFECT 360 BLOWOVER and kept going to finish the heat in Sport 40- It was cool.

Later Andy .......

Great job Brandon Club. No matter if we had a little wind or not you guys put on a great show. Special thanks to Don Riek for putting it all together including getting the points up real quick. Perry

Perry I agree, the scoring is OUTSTANDING- up the next day and really cool features. You can click right on the drivers name and view all the heats for the season and results, neat stuff. Bill , if this is your handy work-GREAT JOB !!!

Perry, by the way I still have your prop, get ya at the 2 day race. ;)
