Guys,I was at the Baton Rouge meeting were we meet and set up the race dates for everyones clubs, I was representing the SGRA we all were OK with our race dates but Carlo your date was not set in stone since you did not know if the race site was going to be ready or not. So I figured you and Kelly would talk it out and figure out the best date so everyone would have a free weekend between each race. I myself will not be attending many races this year since I have another young one on the way at the end of June which will make it harder to have some free time to race.

As I said we had nothing to do with the dates. We only asked that it be later in the year so as to have time to prepare a site. We are only using the date that was given to us. I hope this clears everything up. If there are any other questions please direct them to the guys that set up the dates.

Hey Carlo and, Virgil and Jay I'm sur eif contactes KElly will be glad to get the dates worked out but it is better all around to work out the dates out side of the forunm first then have Kelly or his assistants post the approved dates. DoOing this here is not going to help anything.

I just wanted to get some things straightened out as this post has bothered me since it was started and I would like to update everyone on what has happened since then. Virgil E. and myself have had some very prosperous conversations that have been very beneficial to not only our friendship, but to the good of both the VooDoo club and the SGRA. After speaking with Virgil at length we really got to the heart of what was behind the grief between the two clubs. It was being passes around the SGRA that the VooDoo club had intentions of shutting down the SGRA by none other then the President of the club himself JJ Martin. That is the furthest thing from the truth as there could ever be. When we started the VooDoo club it was with the sole intention of giving our group of about twenty guys that were running together every Sunday at a less then adequate place we called the Mudhole, a facility were we could hold races and practice. We built it so that we would have a organized club and a place to invite the rest of the guys in District five, Texas and all over the country that have welcomed us with open arms for so many years to come and race.

Our new club could not understand why there was so much grief coming from the SGRA. When there was conflicts with race date scheduling we went out of our way to change our dates so to not be a problem with there club. When the SGRA canceled there March race we could not believe that it was rescheduled on top of our Fun Run after we went out of our way to clear up the scheduling problems. We were then accused of putting our Fun Run dates on top of there rescheduled race even though we had set the date at the beginning of the year. It was getting too ridiculous at that point and we were getting tired of changing our dates and trying to defend ourselves especially since we had done nothing wrong and really tried hard to do the right thing.

It all became very clear in the last couple of days when we finally had proof who Mr Pec was. Pec came on this site and posted some very derogatory remarks and lies about our club and some of the other clubs in our district with nothing but malicious intent in mind. I traced the I.P. address back to Laitram/Intralox corp. and new who worked there. It is such a big company that I could not place the blame where it belonged even though I knew who it was. Well after speaking with Virgil I told him I knew who it was and he confirmed to me that it was indeed JJ Martin the president of the SGRA and that he had confronted JJ about the entire matter and told him it was the worst thing he could have ever done as it will kill relationships with the other clubs in the district and make the SGRA look very bad. JJ took it upon himself to hide behind a fake name like a coward and try to discredit our new club like this was some sort of childish game.

I sent PEC (JJ Martin) a email from my vending companies email address when this all first started and let him know I was enjoying reading his post. He responded and was bragging about what he had done and let on about how he loved to see gas boats burn and filled me in on his hatred towards our club and gas boats before he realized that he was unsure who he was speaking with.

I am sure that JJ will get on here and let you know how someone else put him up to this and how he never meant to discredit our club, but it is easy to see what has happened since you have all of the facts.

Yes those post we me and I apologize for my actions. At the time I was under the misconception that the voodoo club was trying to destroy the SGRA and wanted to see if that was correct so I posted under that fake name. I personally have never wanted to be president of the club so I have no issues with resigning as president. I don’t want to bring the club down so I will resign as president, please don’t hold this against the SGRA. The latest problem with the last few emails about race dates I was not even involved with anything and just responded accordingly. Even if you hold this against me you know when I was at a race I was always helpful and friendly and enjoyed racing with everyone. I personally don’t have the money or time now too race so I have no issues with not attending these races since my two children take up all my time. If you have any other questions you can contact me if you like.

I just wanted everyone to see what our club has been going through and explain why there was friction between the two clubs. I hope this sheds some light on the entire situation and removes any doubt about the intentions of our club and members.

Seriously though, I got to meet Carlo in person at the Gas Nats & we had a few lengthy discussions about lots of boating related stuff & I can personally tell you that he wants to see all of model boating prosper, there is no "us vs. them" thing. Carlo is a good guy & is all about the fun factor which was proved by the Thursday night Food Feast he hosted at the G/Nats, what a blast! Thanks again Carlo!

Let's all remember we are in this together & need each other, there is strength in numbers and as that old say goes, united we stand, divided we fall. Besides I run both nitro & gas so I don't want to have to pick a side. :lol: :lol: :lol:

You were at races hanging out with all of the guys from the VooDoo club and there was no reason for you ever to think that way. You were treated with respect from everyone there, unlike the way you treated all of us on a public board. You made up lies about our club to try and make us look bad for no reason whatsoever. You should be apologizing to my entire club as well as the entire boating community for what you have done. This is not a childish game for you to play and hide behind fake names, You need to grow up. There was enough bad air surrounding the SGRA in district five without you making it worse and that is what you have done.

I do want to apologize to the enitre Voodoo club, and you are correct I should have picked up the phone and called you its my fault for not doing so. I take full responsibility for this issue, just wished I had not listened to a certain individual and this mess would not have happened. If you look at the last few responses with Kelly you would see I was trying to end all this BS.
