I think that is good advice an the bearings. I'm at about 4 gallons through that motor. All original but the head button. I think I'll get some bearings on the way,.. I think the P/L and rod are just fine,.. I think this would be a good time to change the bearings.

I always run the fuel out, flush a little WD40 through the motor, then just FLOOD it with oil after I run it.. and leave it in there till next time.

Anthony, take the carb off the motor, and check the surface of the crank while turning the flywheel. You want a clean surface without score marks. You are correct.... Replace the bearings, before running again. 4 gallons is pushing your luck. Use factory Novarossi/Top bearings from Glenn. Richard D

Hi Anthony haven't seen your second video ....now you are in the winner circle.

Congrats

Gill,.. the second video is posted a few posts into the the thread.

Took a look down the carb throat at the crank. I can see very fine lines. They are very uniform and I can't feel the depth when running a feeler across them. Am I too late? Still has a nice pop when you turn it over without the plug in... but maybe not as much as it once had... still running well though...
