Hi Glen,

So how does the oil drain out of the boat? I don't see any drain holes in the bottom.

Well guys, have had a chance to play with the twin a bit and I can say for sure now...it is a RACE boat!

Since the last time I tried to run it I put wires in it instead of the cables, put internal stingers in the pipes (it had a serious bark before), and put a little running time on the motors in my single. I have to say I was VERY surprised at how it ran today. It ran every time and never missed beat...I even dropped it nose first on one launch and it went like 3 feet just under the water and still popped up and ran like crazy. I didn't get a chance to play with props as a drive dog slipped on the shaft and I didn't have the tool to fix it.

The speed looked pretty good (maybe not quite as fast as my .21 boat, but competitive), it ran well at mill speed and it handled nice.

I'm still digging the sound!

Is there already a video :)
Not yet...sorry. This boat has just not made it to the top of my list of things to run duing the few times I get to test.

Glenn
Dang Glenn, ya'll should have shot some video of the twin when we finally got it running back in Sept. That was a fun boat to drive and the sound of twins, even 12s, is always cool. That little puppy was definitely moving around the cove that afternoon.

Yeah, we had fun that day...I still smile everytime I think about how you were laughing the whole time you were driving it! Today it ran like the "good" time every time. As soon as it hit the water it just took off!

Friends, I finally have a bit of video!!! I was pretty happy with the way it ran again today, but of course a new issue showed up. The afterrun oil I use is very slippery (Mobil Jet One) and if I don't clean the pipes and couplers really good before I put it together, the coupler slides off the pipes. It did it each run today so I never got more than a few laps. But I was happy overall. I was running the largest set of 1440 props Mark built for me. You can't tell in the video, but the water was really bumpy on the left end and back straight.

Anyway, not a great video, but I'm happy the boat is coming around.

ohhhhhhhhhhh no,,,, glenn.... your video doesnt work my friend...i was all excited and everything... lol.... it says it is a private video and it must be sent and accepted to view... i know how you feel with the pipe slipping out of the coupler,,,, seems to be the norm on my tunnels if i dont clean the heck out of them........

Thanks Alden! The tanks are under the pipes. This is a fairly simple project, it just take a little more work building the pipes, tanks ect. Using normal pipes, tanks, etc would make for a much easier project and it would would just as good or better. Since I have had the time to really play with it and get it running I am surprised at the reliability...it has run just like in the video each time I have thrown it in.
