Did the final epoxy coat to night. Tub came out at .76lbs compared to .98lbs on the old one. Moved the radio box forward and the batt is in the front of the box. All the Eagle tree stuff fits in the new box also. So I can log temp,RPM,GPS and ex temp. Will see where the tail weight ends up. Will be putting the air trap shingle sponsons on also.

Got a AB5082A/3 CNC prop to try. Will see if it can pull it.

David, something that you may want to play with is a thicker shingle on your air trap sponsons. I noticed that Glenn Quarles was using a thicker shingle on his boat, apparently with good results. I never got around to trying them.

Charles, I have thicker phenolic board to try. I used the thin with a riser strip to hold down the angle of attack on the shingles. With the thicker shingles I don't think I will need the riser strips to get the air trap. Will give it a shot once I test the set up I have now. Then I can make a comparison.

Her is the boat almost done. Just a few odds and ends left. Should come in at 3 1/2 lbs with all the eagle tree stuff on board.

I call it #2

Well #2 was up and running to day. Had to make some adjustments to the ski. Cut it shorter so the strut would stick out the back like the JAE. made a big difference on the prop hook up. Also put the bottom of the ski .100 off the board. Hooks up real good now no shutter. Removed the wings from the front tubes. not ready to try tuning them yet.

Will try some bigger props tomorrow. Should be ready for the race next weekend. Hope I don't get eaten by a Cougar
