Here's something for you guys to entertain yourselves with until they are ready.(not for the kiddies, make sure nobody's lookin' over your shoulder!)

For all you world travelers you should be aware of the new measures New Airport Security! The US, and Canadian Airports, will be using a new machine for checking people boarding the aircraft, beginning on or about the 1st of July 2004. The new technology will make it virtually impossible to conceal illegal goods. Click on URL below and drag your mouse over picture to see an example of how the device functions... Click on the link below . Move the mouse around to see how it works:

Amazing.................the technology involved here!!

For all you world travelers you should be aware of the new measures

I wonder if you can get one of those machines built in to a pair of sunglasses? :D

Cool Don but a piece of advice. Please warn others that this is for Adults, not for the under 18ers. I don't want my son looking over my shoulder as I click on the link. Remember, we do have a lot of kids in here and this is supposed to be a Family site. Some of this stuff might be blocked if they try to access it if their Parents have a block on their 'puters.

Are they done yet? Are they done yet?

I did I said- not for the kiddies!

I just went back & made it a little louder statement.... B)

Ok gang, the latest update is I just got an e-mail from Ron, the jigs were shipped out UPS this morning so I hopefully should have a very big box by the weekend or Monday. Figure another week or so setting up material sources and such so we should still be on target for first batch by mid March. Still looking for a good welder locally.............. B)

I hope they have good welders in Virginia since most fo our battleships are built there! If you can resurrrect the dead, Dick Tyndall aint half bad.

Latest update- The jigs & mandrels arrived Friday, big heavy box. My UPS guy sure was glad I was here to help him get it off truck! I've been shopping for the aluminum tubing & still hoping to find a local welder who's good with aluminum & won't kill me on pricing. Still on target for beginning of March for first batch. :D

Well after a seemingly never-ending search for a welder, the last hurdle has been overcome. The first run of 12 tables should be ready around 3rd week of of June. I have decided to go with a higher grade of ply for the tops, known as "sanded ply". This stuff is about twice as expensive as an unfinished sheet but there is no way I could match the quality of finish in a "production" environment in a reasonable amount of time. With the increased cost of material over the last 4 or so years since Ron made them they will be $25 more than when Ron sold them for around $100. So for all those who have been waiting, the wait is almost over. The tables will cost $125.00 plus shipping plus I've made a couple of improvements over the original like 2 height choices that you can change to your liking. I know a bunch of you were wanting one so let me know as I think the first 7 or 8 are already sold to guys here on I/W. B)
