I asked Ron about it on another board. Sounds like if someone is ambitious maybe they could make a bundle.

-----------------------------------------

Sorry, All that is left are the bending mandrels, drill jigs, welding jigs. Any one interested ? You would have to find one of my tables and duplicate it to get the measurements.

All it takes is a bundle of aluminum, an automatic saw, a half a dozen sheets of MDF, a table saw and router, several boxes of stainless and nylon hardware, a hydraulic press brake, a tig welder, a drill press and a lot of time. You too can be as profitable as I was !!

I e-mailed Ron about it privately. I may consider doing it if there is enough requests & he says ok. There is ALOT of work that goes into them & the profit margin ain't squat! BUT they are such kick butt tables I would hate to see them disappear.

Not to mention a great place to have the mornin' coffee & Boston Creme doughnuts, right Bob? :D :D :D

Thanks for the picture. I saw one of those at a race and thought of how cool it was and wondered where I could get one. Now I know. It sure beats getting down on your knees to start a boat.

I'm VERY close to finalizing a deal getting the cutting jigs & bending mandrels from Ron to start making these tables again. Will need to see what materials are going to cost me but from what I can see it's going to take at least 10 sold to just get back start up costs. As soon as I know more I'll let you guys know approximate cost of finished table. These are such kick a$$ tables I just couldn't let them simply fade away......... B)

Good idea Don! How about putting a pair of wheels on one set of the legs so that it can be rolled to the hot pits instead of carried?

Ron, they're not very heavy at all & super easy to carry folded. Even my original with steel legs. :D

Ok folks, I have just sent Ron $$ for the jigs, mandrels & rights to start up production again of the famous Quicksilver Qwikstands! I will not know selling price for about another month (got to find someone to TIG weld) but I hope to have first run of tables available by mid March. I will keep everyone posted. :D

Don, if you can't find anyone close to you to heliarc the parts, call me, I'd be glad to help with the project.

Gotcha covered Jay. Thanks to all so far who have shown interest in these tables. Hopefully by the time I start crankin' them out I'll be close to breaking even. B)

These tables are great, I have one and love it, folds flat and lays in the trunk. I used it for everything not just for boating. Last winter I made a larger top, 2" on each of the 4 sides, made it even more usefull. They are also very strong and light weight. Don, I hope you make some money from this. They are very nicely made. :) :) :)

Good luck.

Jerry

Guys I haven't even got the jigs from Ron yet. Patience, like I said we're probably looking at mid March before the first batch roll out. I'll crank 'em out as fast as I can!! B)
