I was trying to figure that out earlier. A 648, and 450 is bigger then a 448.

648 = 48mm 1.6 pitch.. 450=50mm and 1.4 pitch.. 6 one half dozen the other.. depends what the boat like I suppose..

My set up is a Phil Thomas with a CMB and a Andy Brown parabolic runs great at that length

I always liked being able to get on the pipe with ease, Im sure I could go shorter than 10-1/2". But didn't want to mess with the heat race drivability.

Exactly why I don't like running the pipe too short.

I'm gonna have to try a 3 blade 450. I seen Phil run one on his and it's pretty **** quick. I got a 452/2 blade I'm gonna try also. I just need Spring to get here.

looking at the weather.. Ill be able to test again in 10 days.. mid 50' and sun coming back.. 448, 450, Sholand 450, macspipe / AA pipe.. CG moved a touch forward.,.. still alot to dial in..

Here is the numbers on a 450/2 that worked best for me.

4.50" of Cup

3.42" of pitch

Reduced to 48.50 Diameter.

With a Barr- Cut.
