That's a small prop for a sport 40, step up to a x448,x450 2 blade run the pipe at 9 3/4 to start and lengthen until desired speed is achieved. Like Anthony said reduce water flow head temp should be about 140-160 when returned to shore after 6 laps WOT.
Who are you telling they are running Too Small of a prop?

I was trying to figure that out earlier. A 648, and 450 is bigger then a 448.

648 = 48mm 1.6 pitch.. 450=50mm and 1.4 pitch.. 6 one half dozen the other.. depends what the boat like I suppose..

I'm gonna have to try a 3 blade 450. I seen Phil run one on his and it's pretty **** quick. I got a 452/2 blade I'm gonna try also. I just need Spring to get here.

looking at the weather.. Ill be able to test again in 10 days.. mid 50' and sun coming back.. 448, 450, Sholand 450, macspipe / AA pipe.. CG moved a touch forward.,.. still alot to dial in..

Here is the numbers on a 450/2 that worked best for me.

4.50" of Cup

3.42" of pitch

Reduced to 48.50 Diameter.

With a Barr- Cut.
