Talk about some fast water. Here is a clip of one of John’s record gas scale runs. Didn’t get the whole thing but caught the last straight. Also a fast pass by Grim in his hydro. And Glenn left out a key photo from Blue Lake: The sunsets. Haha. Great time to be had by all. We’ll be back this weekend for sure. After breaking in a new piston, Martin just ran a 15.665 for a new.21 hydro oval record! And it was on his first try around the buoys!

Good Thursday morning from Blue Lake! It’s cold today! Was 32 degrees last night but probably in the upper 30’s by now. Still a thin layer of ice on my pit table I left outside . We have calm winds, but a thin wisp of fog on the water is keeping us from setting the lights. Should be good to go in a few minutes!

For a time trial NEWB like me, how do you figure MPH for Martin's time?

The formula to calculate speed from the 1/3 mile oval time is 1200 divided by the time. So it is 1200/15.333 = 78.26767574. The gps speed from his transmitter was something just under 100.
