come on! 18mph wind is nothing. That is just enough to give you guys that desireable little ripple on the surface.

I just checked on shipping from Deutschland, and its gonna be a little to rich for my wallet, you guys are on your own for weather. Hope it has a change for the better! I wanna hear about the .21 tunnel record (thats been standing for 12 years) getting chopped down.

Good luck, James

Well this is interesting, looks like it hit hurricane status a day ahead of schedule. As posted on most recent NOAA advisory-

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 80 MPH...130 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER

GUSTS. NOEL IS A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON

HURRICANE SCALE. NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS FORECAST

DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS....BUT NOEL IS EXPECTED TO LOSE TROPICAL

CHARACTERISTICS WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS. THEREAFTER...NOEL SHOULD

THEN STRENGTHEN AND INCREASE IN SIZE AS AN EXTRATROPICAL CYCLONE.

INTERESTS ALONG THE U.S. EAST COAST FROM NORTH CAROLINA NORTHWARD

SHOULD CONSULT STATEMENTS ISSUED BY THEIR LOCAL NWS FORECAST

OFFICE. INTERESTS ALONG THE CANADIAN MARITIMES SHOULD CONSULT

PRODUCTS ISSUED BY THE CANADIAN HURRICANE CENTRE OF ENVIRONMENT

CANADA.

The up side to this is it's now moving faster, NNE @ 20mph which should put it off the coast of Maine by Saturday night so maybe we'll get lucky for Sunday. Let's just hope 'ol Noel doesn't make any left turns........

what the hell is a "extratropical cyclone" ??? do they just create sh*t to talk about, because they can't do 24/7 of real news/weather? get real, it's still the same freakin' hurricane. anyway, sorry 'bout my rant, i hope you guys get some good weather & water. keep us posted.

Saturday is a blowout. 23 mph wind out of the NW. Supposed to drop to 18 mph by dark. Wind runs right down the straightaway right to left. Maybe by the end of the day Sunday we will have some decent water. Looks like we can get there about noon or so Saturday, shoot the sh** for 7 hours and go get something to eat. Keep the fingers crossed for Sunday. The most recent report says 8 mph at sunrise Sunday out of the NW. Maybe the trees on the West side will block the wind!

I've got a couple of those Stunt Kites if ya'll wanna borrow them. Might help with the boredom. Oh wait, I forgot Ferrette is going so the only time ya'll could possibly get bored is between breaths. :p

From weather.com-

Today- Windy and becoming cloudy during the afternoon. High near 65F. Winds NNE at 25 to 35 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph

Saturday- Windy. A few showers early with partly cloudy skies later in the day. High 61F. Winds NNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 30%

Sunday- Sunshine. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s. Winds NW at 10mph.

From NOAA-

NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL BE INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 TO 55 MPH BY THIS AFTERNOON FROM POQUOSON...HAMPTON AND NORFOLK TO COASTAL NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA. THESE SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TONIGHT...BEFORE DIMINISHING SATURDAY.

Makes me wonder how much crap is gonna get blown into the water. Not a big deal for the others as if there is debris in the pond I'm usually the guy who finds it ....... with my boat.

Weatherunderground is showing winds at 6 mph on Sunday morning diminishing to 4 by early afternoon.

We just got back from the lake and you better have a surfboard. The winds are supposed to cease at night. Right now we are checking on the rental fees for the generator powered stadium type lights. 4 to 6 of these units should work. If this happens it will be an all night event. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!
