Just a quick note that I will be down for a couple of days. My cutter is malfunctioning and I have a service tech coming to fix it. Not sure when just yet but in any case I will be down at least 1 day as I have to attend a funeral tomorrow that is likely to take up a good chunk of the day. So while I am waiting I going to get some drawing done. Hoping I'll be back up and running by Thursday. Sorry for the delay guys

Update: I'll be down until possibly Monday as I wait for a part for my cutter/plotter. Good news is it was not as bad as I suspected...bad news is it's still a $400 part and had to be ordered from the manufacturer. Got 8 years out of this machine before any kind of issue so can't complain. Still I'll be in drawing mode for a few days until it arrives.

Ok good news. I am back up and running! No thanks to the AUTHORIZED SERVICE AGENT for the manufacturer. If I had left it up to them it would have been next week before I got back up and running. And probably out an additional $850 as well. I ordered the part from the manufacturer and replaced it myself rather than wait on these guys that misdiagnosed the problem anyway. Basically it equated to replacing a really big servo in boater's terminology. In any case I am back at today after I do my annual physical and listen to my doctor tell me how bad my diet is.....

Dan it is mainly for Scale Graphics. The address is in my signature line. I have done stuff for other boats as well like Skiffs and Crackers and Tunnels. In my gallery there are a couple of boats besides Scales.

Unfortunately I have had to take some drastic action. I have removed all of the screenshots from my website for scale graphics. This is a temporary move. The reason? I have caught not one but 3 people pirating my work from the screenshots.

Mike,

You should just set up an online shopping cart for all orders. This prevents people from being able to pull images from your site. Also, it will reduce the number of phone calls etc.

I don't mind phone calls...in fact it's necessary sometimes. What I do mind is somebody lifting images from my site and then making money off of my work. I can't count the hours I have put into drawing and detective work over a span of years. Then to see it on eBay and FaceBook today set me off. Well no images are getting lifted now they are all down and will remain down until I have time to watermark it all. I'm not taking time from getting orders out to do that. I've lost enough time as it is.

if you can get someone to do it for you, a free program like Irfanview can watermark images as a batch job. So add them all to the queue, set your options, and do 'em all in one shot.

Screenshots will slowly begin reappearing on my website later this week. I found a nice piece of watermark software. However I have several multi-boat orders that have to go out first. Once I get my current stuff clear I'll work more on that.

Also, just a heads up...I have begun an active search for a new location. I had not planned to do this until next year. However, recent developments with the building owner being arrested not once but twice since January has led to this. Unfortunately there is a possibility that the government may seize the property because of some, how shall I put this, questionable farming practices. Myself and the insurance office next door are the only two tenants left in the building and they are leaving on May 1. So the search begins...I'll let you know when it is going to happen with as much lead time as possible

Things are humming along and I have a new location I hope but it won't be available until September which is fine with me I didn't really want to have to pull up stakes right away. So myself and a newspaper distributor will be the only tenants in a building of 10 suites.

Haven't had a chance to work on screenshots much but I will start getting them back up soon. I have been trying to clear several multiple boat orders. I had promised I would get some orders out by this Friday and I may not be able to make that. The City popped in here to tell us they are replacing two poles on this block on Friday so I will not have power most of the day. I am going to stay late on Thursday and try to get as many done as I can but some will be pushed back to Monday. Apologies....not much I could do about that.
