Hey Mike! I will measure everything down to the millimeter for you tomorrow. It's dark right now and the better half doesn't like me to bring my boat stuff into the house. I will post it tomorrow evening Japan time.

Thanks, Hammer

Sorry Mike! Didn't get home til after dark again, so you will have to wait another day. Sorry for the delay. I will get the info posted as soon as possible.

Hammer

Mike! If you go back a few pages in this thread, all the measurements are posted. Check it out.

Hey Gene! Thanks for the advertisement! I'm sure that MikeP appreciates it, too.

I want to continue adding, and aquiring good "Rigger Info" for this thread. I think I will cover pull starting your boats.

I don't mean using a recoil. I mean using a rope and sliding it around the flywheel, and letting it rip. I do it with all my 45s and smallers, and I can do it with the 90s, too. It takes some work to get the fuel into the engine, so I prefer to use a belt starter, though. It is good insurance if you break a belt in the pits right before a heat.

Does anyone over there do it. Let me know. I will get back with some technics in the next post.

boats left today, should be there tuesday, let me know what you think, i have sent you email regarding the little hold up.

Dale

Hey Dale! I will send you the money for mine on Tuesday the 17th. I was going to send it on Monday, but it is a National holiday here in Japan. Post office will be closed.

I think I will go with the red top white bottom. For the full set up that you were talking about, and the Aeromarine flex cable assy. please tell me how much I will need to send.

I will deside soon which servos I will use. James said, he needed to know in order to make the templates for the radio compartment. We will have to ICQ it to get everything straight. Take care dude!

Martin,

Execlent!!!

The boats should be there tomorrow,!!!

i reccomend you use a JR615 on the rudder and standards for the throttle and mixture, the 615 is a over kill but they are cheap and very very strong!!

ill get a price together for everything that you require, and ill email you the break down in the prices!!

Ran the twin yesterday!!

put 10 tanks through it, ran the H48's H50's and H45's pulls them all so so easy, just need to trim the boat now and get some handeling issues sorted out, next weekend ill try the 67x114's, and hopefully my H31's will be here, i need a prop that is not going to lift too much so the H45's might end up working for me

Tim D got some video of it running for me so ill get that onto the computer this week some time, there are some really good passes on there all with the H48's tho, with the H50's im guessing its about 10-15km/h faster, probably doing high 130's with the 48's on it,

I cant wait to get my exhaust throttles on there and have the punch that they give, man it is going to be fun!!!

Hey Dale. lots of cool pics, but I could only get the sounds on the vids. I use real player. Should I use something else?

Hammer

Youll need directx 8.1, you can download it from the microsoft site, i just use media player and with directx it playes good.

Hello you all!

I will go ahead and give you all the scoop on the Nats. I'm a little ashamed, but here it goes.

I got 5th place out of 11 boats. It would have been worse, but 7 people cancelled their entries before the tournament.

I was doing well the first 2 heats. Took the top in the 1st and 2nd in the 2nd heat, but in the 3rd round, I got plastered by another boat when I swung wide to avoid a stalled boat right after the start.

I didn't have time to prepare my spare boat for the last heat, so I retired with 700 points. I can say those points helped our club get the club trophy for the tournament.

For now, I will give up on the 90 hydros to concentrate on my new

Kingcraft X mono, courtesy of K-90. I will start a new thread called

K90 KINGCRAFT in JAPAN. The contents will be mainly K90 and I setting up the boat. All inputs will be greatly appreciated.

It will be tonight, when I get it started. I'm at my office right now. Been really busy catching up with the job since I took a few days off to prepare for the NATS. Better luck next time, I hope....

Its a bit of bad luck dude, racing sux sometimes!!

if you have any questions post them up here today and ill answer them before i leave.

Dale

Here's one to think about. How about putting the prop at the center of balance. Not possible? Check this out

That is totally WILD!!!!

What engine size?

How did they come about that design?

Should turn well, but what about the straights?

Gene ;D

Hey Gene! Isn't this cool. It is being pushed, or should I say flown by a K90 Rocky tuned. It handles very well, and it is extremely fast in the straights. I have a vid of it running on a VCR tape, but I don't have the set up to make a file out of it to post. Sorry :'(. The interesting thing about it, is the construction. If you see the boat stand; it is made of blue insulation foam. The guy who made the rigger, first made the shape of the upper body with the same foam. He then layed carbon fiber composite 2K fabric over it with epoxy.

When it got hard, He poured thinner into the foam, and melted it away. This proceedure allows you to get reverse angles. The last step is to sand the surface to a smooth finish. If you squeegy the epoxy out well, this shouldn't be too difficult. The bottom is lipped in to make a shelf for the carbon plates that he glued on to make the running surface. These are the reverse angles that I was talking about. The way the CG is in relation to the prop, makes this boat impossible to blow over.

Anyone over there willing to give it a try? Hey you! MikeP! Looks like a project for you ;D

Hammer (at the office)

Hey Tom! If I send you a VCR tape of about 50 runs at the Nats, Could you get them posted or put them on your video page. Some really fast boats that will turn some heads. Too bad I don't have the capabilities to file them. Even if I did, I don't think I could get the file sizes small enough to keep them from getting rejected by my server.

Thanks Hammer

Hey Tom! Did you catch the message above this one?

vids hmmmm?

Let me know. I want to send you my donation, as well.

Cant use Paypal here. Email will be fine.
