I want to remove the paint from the tub on my outrigger, when I re-seal it with epoxy should I apply clear coat or just keep sanding with 1000 grit Sandpaper and re-apply epoxy to bring out a nice shiny finish?

Automotive clear coat is what you want.
A 2K clear.
Be warned! NOT all clear coats are fuel proof.

I appreciate the offer, but this crapshooter is going to be a long winter job.
I always wanted a crapshooter since I was 12 years old, now I'm 60 and I finally have one. But I wish I could of went to Kentucky to inspect the boat.
I've had to completely gut this thing and start from scratch to make it right.
I'm going to change the color of the boat. So I will need to strip the black paint off and re-seal, primer, paint and clear. I have my work cut out for me on this one.
