Chris, "you are missing something" and I am sure it is my fault for not making my work ethics clearer! I work all day in my shop building boats but at night, I set in my office, at my drafting table and design boats. At this point, I work every day on the .12 boats and that is 7 days a week. As I said in my last post, there is a lot more to what I do than taking a kit out of the box and building it. The .21 boats are still pieces of paper on my drawing board as is the GOBLIN FE-P. The reason for doing the GOBLIN FE-P now is that it is the same size as the PHANTOM II AB boats (.21 size).

I will finish the .12 boats in a few days and they will be on their way to Tennessee for testing. When I am satisfied with the testing, we will start lazer cutting the kits and they will be offered for sale. Maybe I shouldn't share my work and what I am doing with others because I am sure it can get confusing. I formed Bishop Aeromarine 4 months ago (middle of June) and started designing the PHANTOM II. For such a short period of time, I think I am doing pretty good especially for a 67 year old man, LOL! Joe

Hi Stan

Doing a price list is one of the next things I need to take time out and do. If a person doesn't want to go broke, a good cost analysis is a must before pricing a particular item. It involves a lot of work, believe me. I will get it done ASAP! As for the way the boats will be offered, they will be flat kits. I will not be offering any pre-built or ready to run boats except for the Team Boats and they are not for sale.

I have had an idea for some time now so I guess I will let you guys in on it. I have to build one of the first kits to prove the kit is accurate and complete. So what I thought I would do with this boat built from kit #1 is completely finish it out with hardware, paint, decals & clear coat but have no motor, prop or radio gear. Place a statement inside the radio compartment (under the epoxy resin) that designates it as the first kit of it's kind, sign and date it. Then offer it to you guys by way of a raffle. You could win the first production boat of it's kind, documented, signed and dated for a $5.00 raffle ticket. If I get enough guys in the raffle, on the first boat, to justify building it, then I will raffle off the first boat of each class and type I offer there after.

I also plan on building some mystery boats (one of a kind, no kits will be offered) and raffle them off. I know, I know, you want to know "What kind of a mystery boat are you talking about"? OK, I will just give you one! An "all" carbon fiber PHANTOM II BD Ultra (.45 size) complete with hardware, graphics and clear coat, no motor, prop or radio gear. Guys, these mystery boats will depend on the success of the first raffle. It must generate enough capital to justify building them. The only reason I would even think of building an all carbon fiber outrigger hydro is because of my experience building carbon fiber components in the aerospace industry. If the raffle is not successful, I may give these boats away at the IMPBA and NAMBA Nationals.

As for a waiting list, I have a lot of guys waiting on the boats to be released so I am sure there may be more orders than the first run will cover. Although I can assure you that we will make every effort to get orders filled ASAP. Joe

Hey Dave, "16 pages and no pictures of the boat", I caught it before you edited it, LOL! Check out page # 13.

Guys, if the rain will stop, I will be able to decal the boats and apply the final clear coat. Final assemble them and post a lot of pictures of the completed boats.

Just build a Heat Race ready 45, give it to your Team Member and enter him in a race and see where the cards fall. I would pitch in $5. towards that to happen. Even the 21 would be cool to see race...Jan. race here in Fl. has plenty of openings. I am just glad to see people as excited as the Team Phantom group is with boats.

Stan, I am not sure what exactly you are trying to say? So I have no idea how to reply to your post except about the excited part. You bet I'm excited, it would seem ridiculous to be doing all this and not be excited about it!
