I talked to Don and there are almost 100 entries with two weeks left. It should be another good turn-out with some excellent competition.

Well we just hit the "limit" of 150 boats, actually just past it @ 151. I typically don't turn anyone away & will continue to spot fill where there is room. I think the majority of entries have come in so everyone should be set. Gonna be a rockin' good time next weekend in Chesapeake.

With the limit now hit, will the club consider opening up open water earlier on Friday am? If not, having that many boats trying to get set up and getting the freq clips will be utter mayhem. Something to consider with the success of the response for the race. Nice dilemma to have for sure.

Friday open water will begin at 11AM. That's an hour earlier than usual & it will run until 6PM, perhaps longer at CD's discretion. As for utter mayhem, I don't see that being the case at all.

We have 151 boats, I will be taking limited number of entries based on the few openings we have. A mix of 5 or 6 nitro & gas classes are already full & a few classes have only one or two spots available. The entry deadline is MONDAY and to anyone who has not yet entered & is going to, contact me via e-mail first before you send in your $$ as I need to see if there is a place for you. h34r:

Most other classes have only one or two spots left. This is going to be a great race, long range weather forecast for next weekend looks real good ........... so far.
