oct fun run toledo the 18th

Things aren't looking good for me at the moment for going to Toledo next weekend. The car decided to die today on the way home from work. The wife used the truck today and just after pulling out of the parking lot at work, it died and wouldn't restart. Found water in the oil pan and that wasn't pretty. I gotta see how bad it is Dollar wise and see if I can get another set of wheels for the wife. If I can make it, I'll let you all know but things aren't looking too good right now. :'(

That sounds like my luck Sorry to hear about this. I'd offer you a ride down, but the car will be full.. Since we'll be bringing back some chairs, you can sit in one of those They'll be on the trailer! ;D

It's looks like we're going car shopping so maybe i still will be able to go. I found out that a 3.1 Chevy motor is about impossible to find used and it would take around $3,500.00 for another one installed.

Ron, you have'n car problems moved over to me and I've got boat problems.. The red Solution won't be coming. Just put the motor from Foolwitools on it and discovered the servo is junk.. Will have to re-work the inards to allow a 1/4 scale servo next time.

Bad news for the initial running of the Bored At Work tunnel. The boat will be there, but the second attempt at making a cowl pluged didn't turn out as planned. The glass I'm using must have put in several little holes and didn't allow the vacuum to get all the air out.

and Ron, them 3.1s are JUNK, My sisters on her 3rd one in her car. I think its the bearings that go out on the lower end.

the fwd 3.1s are actually pretty good as long as they don't get reefed on, but you give them some power too often, boom botom end goes out 3.8's are better but harder to find (mostly pontiac).... (sorry dad saw the post wanted me to put that in)

hope you get a good deal on some new wheels ron, kinda hoping you can bring your bat boat down so i can see how you changes have made it better compared to my mostly stock aqua jet. don't feel so bad I might have some new wheels myself little honda is just showing its age too much

I wasn't that crazy about the car when we got it. I found a Monte SS with a 3.8 Series II that hauled! The Lumina was in the budget though. Going up to Plainwell this afternoon to look at some `03 Malibu's that we can get cheaper with my Father-in-laws GM discount.

Outboardman might be coming down this weekend so I can have someone to get some running time in with before going to Toledo.

Seemed the last run there wasnt much Vids of us running,

I dont have vid camera, or a dig cam.

So looks like all i can do it drive and bring the kids to play in the water. IM SURE MARY IS GONNA LOVE THIS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Joking..........

Need to do some testing and setting some trims on the tunnel, and think i am pretty much ready. Unless they blow up this weekend.

I'll have our camcord, hopefully will get more shots this time around. If I find time (choke, cough, gag) I'll have to look at the red Solution to see if I can swap out a steering servo. But for now, only the Pink, my WOF and possible Sport 40 will be there for us.

Oh yea, the BAW is coming along, even though it has no water box or cowl.. Yellow Solution will be there so you can pass it off to the Foolwitools.. ;D
