oct fun run toledo the 18th

hehe haven't seen a little swamp buggy in years... had one of those when i was 13 before my first sail boat, i had converted it to elec with a homade foward reverse switch and 4cell pack and a radioshack motor... worked pretty good hmmm wonder where i put that.....

Ok, it's GETTING CLOSE ;D For those that will be out of G.R. / K-Zoo, how we going to travel down? Nitrotoys is suggestion we head down to Coldwater and meet him there.. Then take 80/90 over to Toledo..

p.s... I may be making a emergency trip to G.R. in next few days.. Dad is not doing well.

That would add over an hr to our trip. I would prefer to go down 96 to 23 South & then right into Toledo. Maybe Ron could hook up with Nitrotoys & those guys could travel together. I am looking at leaving GR on Saturday mornign at 7:00am. I figure about 3hrs travel, give or take.

Ok, this may put a twist into things.. My dad was admitted over the weekend. He is in very bad shape. I quit, cold turkey, from drinking since it looked like I was heading down the same road as he..

We may be coming up to Michigan early then the 13th - 18th. If we do, our vacation might be extended a week after.. Don't know. Time will tell.

What this does for the Oct. 18th Fun Run, might alter our plans also. BUT, we will still comeup no matter what. If we are not in Mi. the week of 13th - 17th, we will drive from Ky to Toledo for the Fun Run.

Thanks... Don't think it'll go well.. They went in last week to put a tube in his stomach.. Couldn't do it.. What's left of his stomach wouldn't have allowed the tube to stay. :- Sad to say, but he did this to himself.. According to him, he didn't have a problem, we all did. It is sad that some relationships are truely hard to build. Sorry, this doesn't need to be brought out here..

I can go I-69 to Toledo but I've never gone that route. I usually take I-94 to US 23 and go past MIS or another way diagonally. It doesn't matter to me. I just an exact place and time. If you lead, I'll follow if the old truck can keep up, it's tune-up time for it.

BTW, let's hope for decent weather, they're already talkin' that "S" word in the next few days. It was cold yesterday at the Rochester Hills race, I think it got up to 53 there.

Call me stupid, I dont know where 96 and 28th street is. See i am real close to 69, and about 13 miles north of 80/90. So i will just go that way, cause its the easiest for me. Didnt know which way you all were going.

anyways, I guess we will meet up there at the pond.

Unless ron wants to come down 69??? Let me know, I can meet you somewhere around exit 13. if you want to, give me a time and i will be there. and dont worry about your truck, I will have a S10 with a 4 banger in it.

Glad to see everyone is making plans to come to toledo,i can't wait . were trying to see if the park will move tables down to the beach area for us,were trying to get the ok to run my 14' boat and motor for retreavil, they may not ok the motor,so we might have to ore it, not that our boats ever stall were going to eyeball the bouyes for our corners so they should be set up decent no tape measure needed.we also have a kyack to retrive boats.Don't forget your boots we don't want people on this site wandering were our shoes are, think safety ;D This will be our first fall event maybe next year this will grow and more people will show up,maybe some full time racers will show up and let out some more race secrets, ok not an event just a bunch of guys haveing fun. you don't have to wait 2or 3 hours to run your boat when your just having fun. sunny and 75 the 18th of oct 8)

Mary and I are doing the "Indian Summer" dance for the 18th! ;D If ya guys remember my friend that came down back in June, him and I went and ran boats at Fort Wyoming park one year. This was about week and half before x-mas.. That "four letter word" was there also.. We just took off the water pick tubes and off we went..
